Lukas confronted the Daemon Primarch and distracted him by offering him the spell of unsealing needed to control Prospero's portal network. Once he had bought enough time Lukas threw the "spell" into the air, revealing it to be a useless piece of paper, and lept into the portal as Magnus howled in fury. As the youngest and most inexperienced warriors within the Space Wolves Chapter, the Blood Claws are the most eager combatants on the field of battle. Yes, that was a cheap and quite crass joke to make, but this is the first time I have been able to work that joke into a Space Wolves book in seven years of writing on here. Honestly, when it comes to the Dark Eldar side of this novel, I probably would have found a full account of Slicus' escape from Commoragh much more interesting than this doomed raid and I found Lady Malys to be a far more engaging character than Slicus himself.
