Faile this, Faile that, I will do this or that once I rescue her. I was glad that it was over and he will finally move forward to help Rand.

And my goodness was I sitting on the edge of my seat when Rand was in the Empress' throne room, facing what he didn't know was a Forsaken and getting his hand burnt off! Nynaeve: She only made a tiny appearance but it was a memorable one. I think I'm finally warming to her relationship with Lan and I definitely enjoyed how things progressed for the pair in this one. As the very fabric of reality wears thin, all portents indicate that Tarmon Gai’don, the Last Battle, is imminent – and Rand al’Thor must ready himself to confront the Dark One. But Rand must first negotiate a truce with the Seanchan armies, as their forces increasingly sap his strength.Random Secondary Characters: The most memorable was the return of Galad! Birgitte, Furyk, Pevara, and even Tarna's POV's also offered a good bit of excitement.

He is reunited with his band of the Red Hand and Tuon, who although fascinated by him as a flirt, finally gets to witness the greatness that is Mat while in charge!!! He is becoming a character to truly root for! Speaking of the future: Elder Haman FAILS, apparently. Okay, that’s probably harsh, or something, but man. I’m not clear on how much time passes between this scene and Olver’s scene at the end of ToM, but I’d really have thought finding the Waygates in the major cities, like, oh, say, Caemlyn, would be a top priority. But I’d be wrong, apparently! Sheesh.
