About this deal

First, let’s take a look at the claims that The Inkey List are making about the product. Those are in bold, and I’ve added my take next to each. A SPF 30 Sunscreen that offers broad spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB rays. This 100% Mineral formula, containing Zinc Oxide, is non-greasy and leaves a natural, mattified finish on the skin. To help enhance usability we have added a low level non-cosmetic tint to help counter balance and assist blending into the skin. Is this sunscreen mineral or chemical? This sunscreen uses only chemical filters to offer broad spectrum protection from UVA & UVB rays. There are no mineral filters in this product The texture is creamy but lightweight, and has a slight tint, which has been added to counteract any chalky residue that zinc oxide can leave. Non-pilling – Pilling is where your skincare products clash with one another for several reasons, such as incompatible textures, which cause a bobbly or balling effect on the skin – almost like the products are peeling. It’s super frustrating when this happens, as it often means you need to start your skincare and makeup from scratch. I personally struggle a lot with this claim, as a product pilling depends on the other products it is being applied with. There’s no way to know how the consumer will layer a product, and therefore whether it will bobble on their skin.

We’ve looked at texture, application, claims and the impact on skin to find out which one is worth your time and money. If it’s only invisible on 97% of people then it must not be inclusive? We love the challenge on this and we’re always striving for 100%! We’re really proud of the formula behind this product and the testing results it’s achieved. We know that white cast can be a challenge with SPF but we were determined to overcome this challenge, and we’re confident we’ve achieved a formula that delivers on this, leaving the skin protected, dewy & hydrated. When adding new products to your skincare routine, we always recommend patch testing. Learn more here. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE SUNSCREEN?Every day! It should be as second nature as brushing your teeth. Using SPF daily is the not only the best way to help reduce the effects of premature ageing but also an important measure to help protect against health risks posed by sun exposure. Learn more about the importance of SPF > HOW DO I LAYER THIS UNDER MAKE UP? We recommend to wait 2-3 minutes before applying makeup. This will give the SPF a chance to fully absorb and settle without leaving any white residue. We recommend using an oil or balm-based cleanser like Oat Cleansing Balmto help remove SPF in yourPM skincare routine. Should I wait before applying makeup? After applying the SPF, wait a couple of minutes for the product to absorb before applying your make-up. At The INKEY List, we believe that sunscreen is the most important step in skincare. And it's finally here!

First and foremost, this product provides your skin the daily protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays with organic chemical UV filters. The element of this formulation that makes it unique is its 8% Hydration Trio of Polyglutamic Acid, Glycerin and Squalane. Our team at The INKEY List is excited to be bringing you the ultimate in skincare technology, so read on to learn more about what makes this product truly special! While Polyglutamic Acid, commonly abbreviated as “PGA,” is an acid, it does not exfoliate, but has similar benefits to Hyaluronic Acid. What makes PGA unique is that it is water-soluble providing moisture to the skin surface. It minimises the evaporation of water by creating a thin, breathable film on the skin that reduces water from escaping. And it is considered a perfect priming ingredient for foundation – smoothing the skin surface and leaving it dewy and glass-like. But what's the secret behind this product? Well, the secret lies in the carefully formulated ingredients that work together to hydrate, prime, and protect your skin. In this blog, we will share the science behind the ingredients and how to use sunscreen in your skincare recipe. We’ve also got you covered with tips how to re-apply on top of your makeup. WHAT ARE THE KEY PROPERTIES OF THIS SPF?It is free from silicone & essential oils. We are proud to say that it's reef safe, cruelty free and vegan friendly.HOW DO I LAYER THIS UNDER MAKE UP?We recommend to wait 2-3 minutes before applying makeup. This will give the SPF a chance to fully absorb and settle without leaving any white residue. HOW CAN I AVOID WHITE CAST?A great application tip to avoid any white cast would be applying this SPF in few thin layers and waiting in between each one until the product is sunk in and no longer visible. This way it will not leave a white cast and the application will be thin and smooth. Can I apply PGA Serum in my skincare routine ifI amusing PGA SPF? Yes, we love the dewy skin! PGA Serum can still be used in your skincare routine, whether as a serum or mixed into your liquid foundation for a gorgeous, dewy base. As with any layering, we’d recommend leaving 1-2minutes between layers to allow them to sink into skin.

It’s no secret that SPF should be used daily and is imperative to protecting skin from UV rays and hyperpigmentation, along with being the best preventative measure for fine lines and wrinkles.Built on a belief that better information drives better decisions, knowledge is at the heart of everything we do. From our products to our askINKEY services we want to empower you with knowledge. Whether it’s a question or concern, we’re here for you, whenever you need us.
