Five of the most twinkling stars for Miss Hannah Cowan and her writing. This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2023 and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint. It gave everything it was supposed to give and more. I was screaming, crying, throwing up, laughing, jumping up and down with excitement. It gave me all the feels, heart palpitations and all the butterflies, every thing wrapped up in this one awesome book. Childhood friends to strangers to lovers is one of my guilty pleasures and Hannah has done it SO SO right. I ATE this up. Read the whole thing in 2 sittings and it wasn’t 1 only because I had to sleep. Maddox and Braxton and their story is so beautifully portrayed, the angst and the frustration of separation of 8 years and then seeing the subtle ways they kept each other alive in their lives even after everything that went down had my heart. I loved every thing about this book and will recommend it to anyone and everyone. Please go read it, that’s all I’m gonna say because I think I found myself a new comfort read. You should 100% read this if you like the following tropes:

Eve has been tormented, abused both physically and mentally throughout her 10years of married life to Gregg. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! The pining, the angstttttt, THE NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP. Please couldn’t be better. Maddox is possessive, and has a mouth on him like no other. Braxton is a confident, sassy, business-owning vet. The two of them have spent years nursing their broken hearts. Braxton has the opportunity to make it right and boyyyy does she. I also adored the short chapters of their childhood. It gave so much more meaning to what they were going through as adults. Adalyn is free-spirited, brash, and bold; she lives in a world of pink and sparkles. I adore her unique wildness of her heart as she overcomes her inner fears and finds her calm in Cooper, all the while keeping him on his toes. Cooper is a quiet, kind man whose world is surrounded by academia and the arts. But let me say that he threw me for a total loop. From his dirty mouth to how he never suppresses Adalyn. He constantly values, cherishes, and loves her so incredibly deeply. I'm just COMPLETELY unhinged for this man. Someone please find me, a Cooper! 🥵😍 Braxton Is Such A Strong, Compassionate, And Kind Individual. She Is Self-assured, Sarcastic, Independent, And Aware Of Her Value. I Adored Her So Much. She Was Always Up Front And Upfront About What She Wanted. She’s Now Among My Favourite Female Characters. I Really Enjoyed Reading About Her. Another amazing gift for the book community by Hannah Cowan. Let's be real — everything she writes is an automatic five stars for me nowadays because of the stunning writing, family bonds and crispy characters with undeniable chemistry. This new series which has set itself apart from Sports Romances just became my new obsession.They Were Madly In Love With One Another. One Of My Selfish Pleasures Is Watching Childhood Pals Go From Strangers To Lovers, And Hannah Did It So So Right. I Devoured This. I Had To Go To Sleep, So I Read The Entire Thing In Two Sittings. The Agony And Despair Of An 8-year Separation And Then Witnessing The Subtle Ways In Which Maddox And Braxton Kept Each Other Alive In Their Lives Despite Everything That Transpired Had My Heart. Maddox And Braxton’s Tale Is So Eloquently Presented. I Adored This Book In Every Way And Would Suggest It To Each And Everyone. That’s All I Have To Say Since I Believe I Have Discovered A New Comfort Book: Go Read It. If You Enjoy The Following Clichés, You Should Definitely Read This: Cooper, far from the little boy we seen from Vital Blindside, I love that he got his own book and a love interest that pushes him out of his comfort zone. And his dirty mouth🥵🥵 damn, I was not expecting that but I loved every second of it. And the piercing , pleaseeeee , I’m obsessed 😮‍💨👀 OMG OMG OMG OMG HANNAH! GIRL YOU BROUGHT THE EXCITEMENT AND THE WOW FACTOR YET AGAIN ESPECIALLY WITH ADDIE AND COOPER’S SPICY SCENES! This was the book that just kept on giving and when it came to the spicy scenes….I had goosebumps, excitement humming within me, jaw dropping, squealing and screaming for joy! Like…WOW! Do not be deceived by Cooper’s well mannered personality because, that man had a switch that flipped when Addie told him about her spicy list of things she wanted to do! The things that Cooper said and did in this book, HAVE MERCY! I never imagined those words tumbling out of his mouth, but I. WAS. LOVING. EVERY. SECOND. OF. IT! The spice in this book was another level from a little public fun at a certain beach while in Paris to other things Cooper and Addie got up to, the chemistry and sexual tension in this book was chef’s kiss! THE PERFECT SUMMER READ! Adventures along the way with Adalyn and Cooper traveling the world from Spain to London, and other amazing places, it felt like I was on a mini vacation with them too! I had been eagerly waiting for this book to be released and as always, I’m an avid reader, fan, and lover of all things created by the wonderfully, creative Hannah Cowan. This story followed, Adalyn Hutton, the youngest of the Hutton family, and Cooper White, Adam White’s son, and long time family friend. This story had so many fantastic tropes from age gap, brother’s best friend/ best friend’s sibling (little sister), summer vibes, accidental marriage, swoon worthy romance, SPICE, funny banter, and much more! Of course, even seeing familiar faces from the first generation such as, Adam, Scarlett, Ava, Oakley, and then there was Maddox, Braxton, and others, it was all heartwarming to see these characters I’ve come to know and love deeply. Adalyn and Cooper had me excited, and the beginning set the tone for what I was going to read which was, a wildly, exciting time!Maddox has only wanted one thing in his life other than to play in the NHL and that was Braxton. A split decision gets Maddox into a bit of hot water and the only person that will be able to help him is Braxton. However, Poppy’s life is turned upside down when she discovers that her husband has been having an affair. She is devastated and unsure of what to do next. To make matters worse, she is also struggling with a difficult case at work and is being stalked by a mysterious stranger.

This Is The Epitome Of A Second Chance, Friends-to-strangers-to-lovers Masterpiece. By Far Hannah’s Best Work To Date. The Storyline Is Touching, Enduring, And Breathtakingly Beautiful.He’s Been Smitten With Her Since They Were Teenagers, And At Age 12, He Already Knew He Wanted To Marry Her. The Cleanest. To Be Honest, I Didn’t Think I Would Enjoy This Book, But As Soon As I Started Reading, I Was Hooked Into Its World And Enjoyed Every Second Of It. Not Only Were Braxton And Maddox An Extremely Hot Couple, But They Were Also So Mature. Maddox Is One Of My Current Favourite Book Beaus From 2023. stars!!! Hannah always kills it with her books! They surpass my expectations every time and I’m so beyond grateful that I was able to receive an ARC for Cooper and Addie’s story🥹😭
