About this deal

I just love clowning myself and following in the footsteps of my fav man Sisyphus —repeating the same meaningless task , in my case — trying to find common sense in the contemporary romance genre only to come up empty. 😍 A fan of Greek mythology and absurdism inside me is too strong of a bad influence. My brother shakes his head more in resignation than anger. “You’re never going to grow up, are you?” A: “Heart of My Monster” is the third book in the “Monster Trilogy” series. Q: Is “Heart of My Monster” appropriate for young adult readers? the slow 🔥burn. Look. Im not always in the mood for slow burns because they’re not always done right. In fact, I prefer them to be medium burn, with the occasional fast burns, so that I don’t experience b9ng anxiety. But here, it made sense and it worked! Oh LAWD. Captain Kirill correctly guessing Sasha’s not a man and having lingering looks/touches had me burning up. Say whatever you want, but having the physical part of the relationship gradually become more *ahem* physical was 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. I’m not gonna tell you how many times I reread the sauna scene🥵💦… or the office scene 👀… or the bathroom scene 🔥… (might as well bring in the limo scene too 😉) because I’m a lady after all 💁🏻‍♀️. Just know that these scenes will live rent free in my head… for a looong time Rina Kent's books happen in the same world, but with a slightly different timeline and therefore, many characters pop across different books.

I didn't mention the side characters since they didn't make much of an impact on me, but they weren't boring, that's for sure.Yeah, well. It’s boring to stay inside all day. And Babushka would be like: Sit properly, Sasha! Stop being a clown, Sasha! Don’t make me repeat myself, Sasha! And then she’d correct my posture with her cane.” I huff. “I hate that thing.” Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels were the absolute 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 pairing for narrating this trilogy. The deep, growly voice of SY truly brought Kirill to life for me. And the way Brooke Daniels played out the emotions of Sasha was epic!!

Erik and Eduard touch me on each shoulder, grin like Cheshire cats, and scream at the same time, “We won!” It's almost embarrassing that Sasha, our naive little doll with debris inside her skull, manages to fool everyone except the hero into believing she's a man when she literally has zero self-control, strategy or sense of purpose and direction in life. 😂 So many great scenes with the mafia crew. Scenes from other books include Rai still pregnant with Nico and Anastasia is already married to Knox. I love Adrian and Kirill’s growing closeness and advice to Kirill. Kirill’s annoyance with Rai is hilarious. Thank god she has Kyle 😍 As I sprint the length of the vast garden, my breath catches at the sight of the gigantic trees surrounding the property and the calming white that extends as far as the eye can see. The last chapter is basically Sasha asking for 3 days off to go on holiday and Kirill surprisingly accepts and even drives her to the airport. He is silent the entire time and it's awkward until their reach the airport and he begged her to not go.Yea she threw something alright😭😭🤣🤣🤣 did no one tell her that saving the gun is useless when you throw the body it's meant to protect in the first place. My shoes sink in the deep snow. Papa told the staff not to shovel it out of the garden, just the entryway. It’s impossible to win the battle against snow in the northern part of the country. And yet my family owns a few vacation houses in these areas due to the stunning, undisturbed nature. The book starts with wedding scene of Kirill and Kristina. After some manipulations Kirill get his dream of Pakhan and news of Sasha’s death. Kirill’s grief 🥺 over 2 months was just heartbreaking. We love a jealous determined king who is ready to eliminate the competition he made up in his head. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when I realized that RK included at least one character with two functioning brain cells in this book and that character, blessed be his soul, turned out to be our Russian mafia prince hero — Kirill. He immediately discovers what a big fat terrible secret Sasha has up her sleeve so no "wtf, am I gay" hysterical revelations for us from this guy. ❤️ Thank god for small mercies, love me some originality (but in strictly small doses).

A joyful atmosphere explodes all at once. Christmas vibes spill in front of us like a royal feast. A few trees decorate the circular entrance hall, and a huge one stands in the middle, nearly reaching the chandelier hanging from the ceiling at the end of the second floor.Kirill's possessiveness and physical attraction toward her come out of nowhere. He sees her half-naked form for the first time, calls her a "she" in his head for the first time too and that's all it takes to fall for her.

We do know that in book 3 that she refers to her ''monster'' as her husband soooo how do they get to that? Is she finally revealed as a woman? I don’t like constant groveling. Half the book is Sasha fighting her feelings and I find that boring. This also means less intimate scenes which should be the best in a trilogy but not so many in this book. Sasha always regrets not telling Kirill stuff in the end and fighting her feelings. Yes he manipulated but he was also there for her. This conclusion to 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 was bittersweet for me! I 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 it had to end but I wasn’t ready to leave Kirill behind! He was absolutely amazing! And Sasha was one of my favorite fierce female leads too. Why? Well, I should mention Kirill believes she has a lover she is hiding from him, someone she loves and misses since he overheard her on the phone, and she shot the phone to protect the number. Who was she talking to? Her little cousin but she never tells him, so he thinks for months that she is really just using him for sex and wants her lover instead and that is where she is going during her 3 days. I loved how Kirill was pleading with Sasha at the end, begging her NOT to GO to Russia for 3 days! And he even followed her... (hehehehe, the ending was great. I'm starting book 2 right now.)Anton raises a perfect brow. “Shouldn’t I be the one who asks that? Aren’t you supposed to be waiting inside like Mama said?” months go by while Kirill and Sasha are still intimate which then she asks for a few days of holiday and all goes to hell once she arrived in Russia a couple days later. I loved the friendships Sasha made with a few of Kirill's close guards. They accept her as is and never think low of her. (They all believe she is a man)
