About this deal

Did Not Think This Through: Donald decides to set up rows of Christmas lights on the mansion lawn. Scrooge reminds Donald that Launchpad can't tell the difference between Christmas decorations and a landing strip. Cue Donald scrambling to remove them and an off-screen crash. Mouse Trap: Mrs. Beakley puts out some mouse traps with pieces of holly in them to catch Sugar Plum Fairies and Scrooge, of course, ends up stepping on one. However, 'The Spirit of Christmas' is a decent looking film, the locations are particularly striking. The music provides some affectionate nostalgia and is pleasant to listen to, while the direction avoids being too routine. Didn't find myself irritated by the characters at least and wasn't bored.

Good Is Not Soft: While it's questionable if Scrooge intended for the Ghost of Christmas Past to suffer so much, and readily reconciles when given the opportunity, he makes no apology for leaving him alone in the past either given what the spirit tried to do to him. Whatever Louie feels he must (and claims he can) explain in his letter to Santa. Considering that Louie is a Schemer to the point where he's known as the evil triplet, it's likely more than just one incident and probably includes various incidents of questionable morality from prior episodes as well. I'm grateful to the publisher for a free copy of The Twelve Strange Days of Christmas to consider for review. I haven’t read anything by this author before so all the stories were new to me, although I do know that this book features some stories from her previous books, just in case you have read them.Beary Friendly: The series' version of Santa Claus is a polar bear, if the giant animatronic version of him is anything to go by. Although Scrooge has other opinions of him. He was the 1st of the 7 deacons in the “start up” Christian Church (Acts 7) who was stoned to death by the Jews, in 34 A.D. Tradition says that the Theotokos & St. John the Theologian witnessed the stoning. Thrill Seeker: It takes seconds for Scrooge to grow bored of the peace and quiet when he finally gets it, realizing that the frustrations of life that he was trying to get away from actually brings in the excitement.

Generation Xerox: Dewey was like Donald at the same age: constantly moping about personal problems and issues rather than spending time with those that love him. Art Shift: The end credits show the episode's events in a different, "classic Disney" visual style, with soft, round designs instead of the show's usual angular ones. Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Once Dewey gets the idea, he immediately tries to warn his mother about her fate and save her from it. Unfortunately, if he warns his mother, then he creates a paradox, so he's forced to let her go.Even though it's not a Hallmark movie, I watch The Spirit of Christmas every year. It's so enjoyable! The acting is great, the story is fresh, and the setting is very festive.

Jan. 2nd also remembers St. Theodota the mother of the brothers St. Cosmas and Damian, the unmercenary and miracle working doctors. Hope Spot: When Della and Donald figure out that Dewey is from the future, Dewey is relieved to drop the act. He's about to warn them about the Spear of Selene and save his mother, but the twins shut him up and say he'll mess up the time stream. Dewey is forced to accept that logic. One of the guests at Scrooge's party in the past is Captain Farley Foghorn (an even bigger Captain Crash than Launchpad) from the original series. Three French Hens- The theological Virtues are Faith, Hope, and Charity, and are symbolized by this particular sign. Scrooge has a minor one when he realizes just how desperate the ghost of Christmas Past became after Scrooge stranded him in the past.Christmas horror movies from the 1970s and 1980s tended to be slasher-style serial-killer movies, but the more contemporary ones have taken advantage of the bombastic side of holiday lore. Krampus stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, and David Koechner as parents just trying to get their dysfunctional families through Christmas despite bitchy kids, family squabbles, and a huge goat demon laying siege to their neighborhood. Krampus is a European folk figure that normally serves as a companion to Santa Claus instead of a replacement, but in the movie Krampus, there’s only room for one mythological presence, and the humans are on their own against this horned beast and his evil minions. Bad news: Santa is not coming to town. I really liked hearing Jen Lilley's voice, she has such a voice that you are immediately dying for. She's like so stunning for an actress that I never even knew she was in a few well known films! Since she is a singer, she should've sang a Christmas song in this, she would make this film more Christmassy! This Lifetime Christmas 2015 movie has everything, perhaps too much of everything: an attractive cast, love, romance, nostalgia, mystery, beautiful winter settings and a splendid, Victorian haunted house "Hollygrove Inn". It's the former home of the Forsythes,(not the same as in the "Forsythe Saga"), who have died without heirs. Ambitious, single and thoroughly modern attorney Kate (Jen Lilley)is sent from Boston to Vermont 12 days before Christmas to broker the sale of the inconveniently haunted mansion. She's promised a promotion if she can deal with the ghosts and the real estate before the year's end. Problems start to mount as soon as Kate gets there. The appraiser leaves in panic, his job undone, after having encountered a ghost. Plus, the innkeeper Warren (excellent actor Robert Walsh)is closing the Inn for the holidays. But spunky Kate tells him she will stay in spite of Warren's objections. Kate stays, meets the resident hunky ghost, impressive Daniel Forsythe (Thomas Beaudoin), who died by an unknown killer on Christmas Eve 95 years ago, as he approached "Hollygrove". The supernatural walks into our story right then in the unusual form of Daniel The Ghost, who likes to eat pancakes, imbibe drinks, and of course, likes women like Kate, in more than a spiritual way. At first, Kate and Daniel quarrel, but soon she succumbs to his manly ghost charms.

Dewey hugging a child version of his mother echoes a similar moment from Don Rosa's "The Dream of a Lifetime" (otherwise known as the proto- Inception comic) where it's Donald who hugs his mother Hortense as a little girl.Tranquil Fury: When Scrooge comes across the giant figure of Santa Claus, he quietly and furiously asks everyone "Who put this up?" As a form of secret protest, Catholics created the seemingly nonsensical lyrics that hide teachings found in the Bible. In this way older, practicing Catholics were able to pass along their religious traditions and teaching to their children without risking punishment. Let's take a look at the meaning of the lyrical symbols
