The return of Samsung's video editor, now retooled for 2019, is a welcome addition. It's built into the gallery app and easy to use, almost as if it's a simplified version of Adobe Premier Rush. And it pairs nicely with the S Pen for fine-tuning edits on the timeline. Samsung finally upgraded its Fast Charging capabilities to 45W, a dramatic increase from the 15W wall chargers we're used to using. In the box, however, you're getting a 25W charger, which we found to be a fine improvement for most people. We went from 0% to 100% in 70 minutes with the 25W charger. Having said that, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus’ stamina hasn’t taken a hit either, despite all of this power. In our video rundown test, with the screen set to the phone’s native resolution and at 170cd/m ² brightness, the Note 10 Plus lasted 19hrs 56mins on a single charge. Dial the resolution down to FHD+, and we managed to squeeze out almost an extra hour under the same conditions. The Note 10 5G is an extremely powerful phone thanks to its processor and 12 GB RAM. The large 6.8-inch AMOLED display is perfect for jotting notes with the S-Pen. Triple Rear Camera It takes up the entire front of the phone and then some, with an edge-to-edge design that has pixels spilling over the left and right sides. The curved display comes to a fine point, making it satisfyingly sharp in more ways than one. Toward the end of my testing session, it began to rain, but I'm not sure that affected my results so much as it did my disposition. A Verizon representative told me that only rain that completely obscures visibility would disrupt 5G connectivity. We found the differences between the S10 Plus and Note 10 Plus still cameras to be minimal. But for this reason, the Google Pixel 3, with its superior post-processing in Night Sight mode, remains the overall winner for your nighttime and bar-restaurant shots.
