About this deal

Primrose is a strong FMC and lives up to the normal goddess hype being strong willed, and stubborn 🤣. The journey through book one was superb, but the romance wasn’t for me.

In Dark Magic, we meet our main character Primrose, who is a fierce goddess of death. Her job is to reap souls and bring them into the underworld. I love a good reaper story and Primrose was a great main character. She was well fleshed out, and I really enjoyed reading from her perspective. We join her on her journey to take down Lucifer. Lucifer was also an interesting character. I quite enjoyed Raluca's story telling and character development.Gault, Matthew (5 May 2022). "Russian State Media Claims to Discover Militarized Ukrainian Witches". Vice . Retrieved 18 May 2022. The book itself just can't seem to get its pacing, stretches for enormous lengths of time dealing with Peter's relationships, repeating the same beats, thoughts and conversations time after time.

There were just enough twists and turns to keep me engaged and that ending was 🤯. I need answers and I am not okay 🤣. I need book two asap! ❤️‍🔥 Savannah is the couple from the first books child. Born to be Gregori (who is my favorite character so far) Life Mate. I totally understood her in the beginning. I mean, her PIA mother didn't raise her to understand her culture as a Carpathian. She wanted her to make her own choice like all "human women" have the right to. Which was stupid on her part. The characters in the book were far from "compelling" (from Michael Connelly's review), in fact they were about as shallow as they come, especially the female characters. If I had been a woman reading this, I'm pretty sure I would have been offended by his portrayal of the two main female characters. The dialogue is stiff and uninteresting, and at times, downright silly.I enjoyed every second of this incredible tale with Primrose leading the way without letting anyone bring her down. Her character was fleshed out and detailed. There was so much going on that I could not put the book down.

It is one of the foundational examples of grimoire, a textbook on magic, groundbreaking for its time and nearly encyclopedic in its information. Scot’s research included consulting dozens of previous thinkers on various topics such as occult, science and magic, including Agrippa von Nettesheim’s “ De Occulta Philosophia,” in 1531 and John Dee’s “Monas Hieroglyphica” in 1564. The result is a most impressive compendium. The heavens, as used in witchcraft. “The Discoverie of Witchcraft,” P. 283. Rare Book & Special Collections. Dark Magic had an interesting premise, which had me interested. A cat and mouse chase with the prince of hell himself, with possible enemies to lovers sidestory, sounded really good! But in the end I was mostly left disappointed. Because the premise and what I actually got in the book felt like two different things.

One star. That's it. Almost no stars. I almost couldn't finish this book. It's hard to believe that James Swain is a "bestselling author." I liked Savannah. She was independent, intelligent, but also loving. She fought the lifemate bond initially, but then she came to realize that she was just as compelled to love Gregori, and she helped him get over his guilt about 'manipulating their connection' while she was in the womb. I really liked the communication Gregori had with Savannah when he saved her and her mother Raven's life. It made me want to read their book. On top of that, Winterfield also shares ritualistic practices for increasing your own power so that you can increase the potency of your magic and regain the upper hand in your life.

Petersen, Jesper Aagaard (2009). Contemporary religious Satanism: A Critical Anthology. Ashgate Publishing, Ltd. ISBN 978-0-7546-5286-1. Imagine waiting long centuries for your mate, on the very edge of madness. That is the fate of Gregori. I really loved his character. I loved that he was an incredible hero but also a destroyer of their enemy, the Carpathians that lose their soul and become evil, soulless killers. Gregori might be too much for some romance fans. He is an intense guy and he is obsessed with Savannah in a way that might be scary in a real live guy. But it worked for this book. If you don't like uber-possessive, aka stalkerific heroes, you won't like Gregori. I do so I was cool with him. The Carpathians live in a different reality where the rules of real life man and women interactions don't apply. You have to leave those expectations at the door when you read this book. Provided you have done that, I think you could handle Gregori.I recommend this to readers who enjoy Greek mythology with a darker twist, paranormal fantasy and FMC who is unshakeable and bold! You’re forgiven if you think we’re talking about H.P. Lovecraft’s fictional book of magic, “Necronomicon,” the basis for the plot device in “The Evil Dead” films, or something Harry Potter might have found in the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts. At last, we get Gregori's book. Most readers who started the Carpathian series at the beginning with Dark Prince, have been waiting for our ancient warrior to get his happily ever after --and with Dark Magic, the wait is over. We only had to wait four books. And for me, the wait was worth it. But before they can figure out a way to alert the police, the evil forces send an assassin after Peter. Live, on stage, in the middle of his magic act. This article was co-researched and co-written by digital library specialist Elizabeth Gettins, who also had the brilliant idea for the piece.
