About this deal

As all the contents are made from either recycled board or home compostable film, this is certainly one treat you can give to the kids with a clear conscience. No matter how old we get, there’s something about the joy of a chocolate Easter egg that fills us with glee. Whether it’s unwrapping the foil coating or discovering the hidden treats inside, our love for Easter eggs is as strong as when we were five years old. Deliciously dark and decadent, these vegan dark chocolate Easter eggs are a treat for those who love cocoa. 8. Divine 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Egg with Mini Dark Chocolate Eggs

Master chocolatiers MELT, who handmake their products in London’s Notting Hill, have three luxury vegan Easter eggs to choose from this year, including the new almond milk egg. What: Venchi is the last word in luxury Italian chocolate, so who better to turn to when you want the best of the best? This incredible white chocolate egg is hiding a little surprise inside - a layer of Piedmontese hazelnuts, pistachios and lightly salted almonds. What: We love Chococo’s handmade chocolates, and the Dorset chocolatiers really outdo themselves at Easter with a huge range of great eggs. This milk chocolate number is made from their signature 47% Colombian milk chocolate, and 5% of every sale goes towards the Ocean Giants conservation programme.Although these aren’t technically Easter eggs, the new Rabbit collection from PLAYin Choc is a special release for Easter, and they do make a very appealing treat for both children and young-at-heart adults.

The chocolate itself is made using the brand’s stunning Nutmilk chocolate which uses finely milled hazelnuts instead of milk to give it a silky smooth texture. What: Brand new this year, Dorset chocolatiers Chococo have a quality vegan Easter egg on offer too, made using oat milk and 43% Colombia origin chocolate. Chococo eggs are always beautifully finished as well, making this a lovely gift for a vegan pal, if you can manage not to eat it before you give it away. What: Can’t choose between milk chocolate and dark chocolate? Choose both with Chococo’s giant half and half treat, which weighs in at a solid half kilo of handcrafted chocolate heaven, including handmade chocolates inside.Last year I decided to make a YouTube video for this recipe as I didn’t want to post a full recipe blog post.. but so many of you have been asking for it I have done it! It is simply a slightly easter themed version of the recipe that has been on my blog for years. What: A dark chocolate lover's dream, this seriously decadent egg is made from 70% cocoa, and comes filled with high-cacao pralines, caramels, simple truffles and plenty of other chocolatey treats. If you’d like your Easter egg to come with a clear conscience, Divine is always a good choice as the brand is famously co-owned by the cocao farmers it works with. So the farmers get a share of the profits they help to create, and you get a great tasting egg. What: The title of this egg isn’t hyperbole, as it’s the size of an actual ostrich egg. The shell is made of milk chocolate that has been filled with crunchy cookie pieces and puffed rice, while the egg also comes with a tray of 20 chocs, meaning the whole thing amounts to over 1kg of chocolate. Just the right amount for one we think.

Gluten-free: Yes but it may contain trace amounts as it is not manufactured in a dedicated gluten facility H!P’s oat milk-based milk chocolate contains 41% cocoa so is richly flavoured and superbly smooth. The egg itself is generously studded throughout with pieces of pretzel that give it a wonderful crunchy texture. The addition of sea salt accentuates the flavours of the chocolate, enhancing the cocoa flavour beautifully.Romney isn’t particularly big, so this is on the more expensive side for an Easter treat, but for fans of both dark chocolate and marshmallows it’s a must.
