About this deal

Percy hopes that he doesn't have a Frodo moment where he gets to the threshold of Mount Brunch with his magic item and then, instead of handing it over, becomes visible, yells "haha! The cup is mine!" and drinks the immortality-flavored Kool-Aid. The half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans all year, even though they know their chances of victory are grim. Meanwhile, the Olympians are struggling to contain the monster Typhon and Kronos has begun to advance on New York City. I loved how our Wise Girl stayed true to her character. And Grover balancing the trio's chaos in his own innocent yet chaotic way. And I especially loved our Seaweed Brain, who was full of his usual sarcasm, foolishness, ready to battle and well being himself 🥹 Nope. Middle grade sensibility is where I live, friends. Yes, Percy is older, and so his situation is not the same as when he was twelve. He sounds a bit older in this book. He is thinking about his life in college and beyond. But the tone is still the same, and the content is no more risqué than in the original series. I want the books to continue being suitable for middle grade readers, though readers of all ages are welcome!

Retailers:

You know you’ve been a demigod too long when you’re flushed out of your school straight into the Atlantic Ocean and you’re not even surprised.” This is a reference to The Return of the King when Frodo gets to Mount Doom with the One Ring, which makes him invisible like Annabeth's Yankees Cap does to Percy, and claims the Ring as his rather than destroying it. First up: the cupbearer of the gods, Ganymede, is missing his golden chalice. Not only is this embarrassing (why do the gods keep losing their magical items?), it's also potentially disastrous. One sip from the cup will turn any mortal into a powerful god. And the old gods do not take kindly to newbies. The stakes are not high at all in this book but the fun is still there. There is no imminent danger to the world but maybe to Percy's college applications there is. We see the OG trio unite and it's like they were never apart. Grover, Annabeth and Percy make anything fun. Some of the things they mentioned were clearly meant for nostalgic purposes (I wish they would've included the dam joke).

This book is dedicated to Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, and Leah Sava Jeffries, the stars of the Disney+ series. Finalmente avevo trovato una saga da attendere e divorare, ogni anno aspettavo con ansia l'uscita dei nuovi capitoli della saga. I will be doing a brief North American tour for the book in the fall, as I have done in the past (pre-Covid). Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or bandwidth to do an international tour. My apologies to my global readers! Hopefully we will be able to offer some of the US events on line if you want to join us from abroad. As soon as I have details on the tour, I will post them on my blog. Obtain the Sweet Chalice with 10 Conjured Cocoas and a God's Chalice to summon the Dough King raid boss. Recommended to choose a private server to avoid automatic summoning by script.Heroes of Olympus was a great set of five books, a great way to introduce new characters and tell the story of the second great prophecy, taking place just a few months after the first great prophecy. By the end of The Blood of Olympus, we had had 10 full-length novels (and several short stories) expanding the world. The mission? Help Ganymede, Zeus’s cup-bearer, retrieve his lost goblet before it falls into the wrong hands. You see, one sip from it can turn a mortal into a god, and Zeus would not be pleased with that result. Can Percy, Grover, and Annabeth find the precious cup in time? And if they do, will they be able to resist its special power?

Despite being a minor god, Ganymede appears to be unaffected as well, but Percy had also intentionally revealed his presence to the god, possibly negating the cap's effects despite Percy still wearing it. The novel is set between The Heroes of Olympus and The Trials of Apollo, during Percy’s senior year. Annabeth's Yankees Cap is revealed to give the wearer an uncomfortable sensation while it's being used which Percy suspects is the reason that Annabeth doesn't use it too much. Annabeth tells Percy that this is because all power has a price, even invisibility. The cap's effects are also shown to be limited for the first time, only making Percy invisible to spirits and minor gods, but at best looking unimportant to the major gods such as the Olympians.

It's revealed that the humidifier and lamp setup that Nico and Will used in The Sun and the Star: A Nico di Angelo Adventure to communicate with Percy and Annabeth via Iris Message was created by Percy to talk with Annabeth before bed every night. Annabeth had a similar setup in her own room. It is not recommended to get the God's Chalice from a public server as someone else might already have gotten it, and if you do, there's a high chance a bounty hunter might kill you, but if you end up with a Chalice, then wait in the Safe Zone until all Aura Colors are inserted. And I loved all the little nods to the past events - very simple, very distinctive, but very much of import to Percy's current journey. I appreciated that the Greek gods included this time around were of limited capacity, but even the trip to Zeus was fabulously done! Each of their adventures were written with great zeal and I really did have a smile on my face as they made their way through the tough waters to get to the ultimate prize. 🏆🏆 And while it is targeted for younger audiences, there is something very nostalgic to this installment. You'll see it with each self-reflection that Percy is enlightened with - that moment that deeply resonates with what is his purpose in life - other than the debt he owes for existing - for being a child of one of the Big Three.' 😔 Dalla prima alla quinta superiore, il campo mezzosangue è stata la mia costante e il mio posto sicuro. More news soon, and thanks as always to my terrific readers. It has been a thrill to write in Percy’s voice again, and a great honor to know that these books have been part of your lives!
