But we liked having the ability to move the pin position on the green for a more precise distance and you have the ability to input scores and some basic stats, such as fairways and greens hit. Buying the ION Edge also gives you access to Bushnell's excellent GPS app, which provides 3D hole flyovers and the ability to add in stats about your play, enhancing the value for money. This comfortable, low profile golf GPS watch is extremely easy to use right out of the box. ION EDGE features a touchscreen and GreenView with movable pin placement, as well as long battery life and many other features. It's not totally bereft of features. You get a shot measuring tool, scoring on the wrist, a more rudimentary green view. It will also pair up with the CT10 to log your shots, and has 30 hours of battery life.

Wet cloth in cleaning solution; avoid excessive amounts of solution. Cleaning solution should not be dripping from cloth. But it falls down in a couple of key areas, including the clunky touchscreen and slightly awkward setup process. As well as distances to the pin and hazards automatic shot detection, measurement of shots and the ability to tag clubs used means it's capable of providing loads of analysis about your game – if you put the work in to log every shot. There is certainly a lot to like about both. The iON watch from Bushnell is designed for those who want to solely focus on their golf, at a price that won't break the bank. However, if you are perhaps a bit more tech savvy, e.g. you use your phone often, then the Garmin is going to be more useful in your life.
