Indications: The relief of symptoms of influenza, feverishness, chills and colds including headache, sore throat pain, aches and pains, nasal congestion, sinusitis and its associated pain, and acute nasal catarrh. In addition to reducing mucosal lining swelling, decongestants also suppress the production of mucous, therefore preventing a build up of fluid within the cavities which could otherwise lead to pressure and pain. Beechams all in one liquid contains alcohol equivalent to approximately 76ml beer or 31.6ml wine per 20ml dose. This may be harmful for people suffering from alcoholism or epilepsy. Many other cough, cold and flu remedies are available to buy without a prescription. Many of these will also contain paracetamol, guaifenesin and phenylephrine among their ingredients. Contains paracetamol. Talk to a doctor at once if you take too much of this medicine, even if you feel well. (paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride). Symptoms of paracetamol overdosage in the first 24 hours are pallor, nausea, vomiting, anorexia and abdominal pain. Liver damage may become apparent 12 to 48 hours after ingestion. Abnormalities of glucose metabolism and metabolic acidosis may occur. In severe poisoning, hepatic failure may progress to encephalopathy, haemorrhage, hypoglycaemia, cerebral oedema, and death. Acute renal failure with acute tubular necrosis, strongly suggested by loin pain, haematuria and proteinuria, may develop even in the absence of severe liver damage. Cardiac arrhythmias and pancreatitis have been reported. Contains paracetamol. Do not take anything else containing paracetamol whilst taking this medicine. Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to. Talk to a doctor at once if you take too much of this medicine, even if you feel well. If you do not get better, talk to your doctor.

This medicinal product contains 31 mg of sodium per dose. To be taken into consideration by patients on a controlled sodium diet. Each 20ml liquid contains 500mg paracetamol, 200mg guaifenesin and 10mg phenylephrine. Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over should take one 20ml measured dose (or four 5ml spoonfuls) every four hours as necessary. Do not take more than four doses in 24 hours. Contains paracetamol. Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products. The concomitant use with other products containing paracetamol may lead to an overdose. Paracetamol overdose may cause liver failure which may require liver transplant or lead to death. Paracetamol is rapidly absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract with peak plasma concentrations occurring between 10 and 120 minutes after oral administration. It is metabolised in the liver and excreted in the urine mainly as the glucuronide and sulphate conjugates. Less than 5% is excreted as unchanged paracetamol. The elimination half-life varies from about 1 to 4 hours. Expectorants such as guaifenesin are used to treat a productive, chesty or mucus cough, where you cough up phlegm. Guaifenesin helps to thin and loosen the mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up.Don't take Beechams all in one if you have taken a type of medicine called a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the last 14 days. MAOIs include the antidepressants phenelzine, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid and moclobemide, and the anti-Parkinson's medicines selegiline, safinamide and rasagiline.
