About this deal

On Thursday March 19, 2009 after months of surveillance, the police “made a big show of digging in the fields around that area, looking for the body of Ermatati Rodgers, with a lot of press publicity. The defendant watched the police looking for the body from the top of a nearby slag heap, hiding in bushes, wearing camouflage clothing and using binoculars. The fourth witness called to the stand was Charlotte Upton who was Jones' probation officer and said that she had had 'no issues' with the defendant. Referring to June 18 of last year, Ms Upton says she was informed that Jones had been spending time with Mr Walley in Rhosymedre. But, just a week later Ms Upton said that Jones told her he wanted nothing to do with Mr Walley.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “In total, five men have been arrested on suspicion of murder, and have all been released on bail. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌ The investigation centres around the death of a 59-year-old man, named John Ithell, from Pentre Gwyn, Wrexham. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌ Police are investigating the unexpected death of a a 40 year-old-man on a housing estate in north Wales. Detective Chief Inspector Alun Oldfield said on Monday: “I would like to offer my condolences to Kyle’s family at this extremely difficult time. But police found his DNA on her mattress and deleted “glamour photographs” of Ms Rodgers on his digital camera which included her in underwear and semi-naked poses.

Claim LDP ‘not a governance issue’ as councillors ‘exercised their democratic right to have an opinion’ PC Scott Duncan also provided a statement as he was present for the arrest of Jones. He states that the defendant's left hand was 'bleeding profusely'. A spokesman for Wrexham County Borough Council said: “Children’s Social Care and the Education department in Wrexham have proactively discussed the need to support any children and young people who may be affected by this tragic event. Education and social care staff will offer emotional support to children or young people when required.” By Sunday afternoon, March 22, the police digging was getting perilously close to the actual field which contained the body.

Overseeing Judge Justice Eyre then called the second witness to the stand - David Davies who was in attendance at court. Mr Meadows also described how Jones had messaged him telling him he ‘had smashed his phone’ before further clips showed Jones and Mr Walley looking out of a window side-by-side, before an argument ensued. They said: “Kyle, you were just 19, with your whole life ahead of you, our boy; you were caring, loving and kind. You made us laugh, made us smile, you had so much to look forward to: college apprenticeship in September and so much more. Mr Ithell was discovered in a lane adjacent to Cefn Road in Wrexham on June 12th. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌ Paramedics said they were were called to a property on Pentre Gwyn in Caia Park, Wrexham, shortly after 6:15pm last night, Monday 23 October. The nature of the incident is yet to be confirmed. The third witness in court was Michael Farmer, who appeared via video link. He told the jury that he had known Mr Walley for ‘a couple of years’ and that he also knew Jones through mutual friends.

He confirmed that he recognised one of those voices as Mr Walley but did not know the other - now known to be Jones. Mr Jones branded Reszpondek determined and cold, and said he had done everything he could to protect himself. The statement describes how the officers searched the rural routes heading into Wrexham town centre before PC Pritchard located Jones on Corkscrew Lane. He was found to have 'bloody' hands and was apprehended. The man, who was arrested earlier this week, has been released pending further investigations. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌ Next to give evidence was Mr Bull, who was positioned behind a screen. He told the court that he had been friends with Mr Walley for 'quite a long time' and that he knew of Jones, but didn't consider him a friend. Mr Meadows described Jones’ personality as ‘being all over the place’ and that his behaviour was ‘erratic’. He was taken to hospital, but later sadly died. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

Mr Davies then made the decision to call the police due to the ‘silence’ coming from the flats and what he had just overheard Jones say.The defendant was crying and the officer noticed that the 19-year-old had a "large laceration" on his hand. He was arrested and taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital for treatment. As investigations into a murder case in Wrexham continue, a second man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail today. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌
