About this deal

Painting Biel-Tan well means not only mastering painting white, but also being able to freehand the thorny vines that wind over their armor. It’s a daunting paint job particularly for new players, but the results can look spectacular. Silks’ Method Credit: Silks

It is well that each Wraithknight is capable of such feats of heroism, for it is they who are at the forefront of the quest for new Spirit Stones. By passing through forbidden portals and traversing the shattered multidimensional spars of the Webway, Wraithknights can emerge onto the surface of the Crone Worlds, where the nature of realspace shears with that of the Warp. I’m still working on expanding the army. My next goal is to get it to 1,000 points, and I’m almost there. I’d like to push it beyond that, if my friends and I don’t get distracted, which is a distinct possibility – venturing into the Mortal Realms has been mentioned more than once…

Proxy Models

Finally, more Corsair weirdos, this time the weird weirdos. The main thing that differentiates the Voidscarred is being able to add a Way Seeker for 25pts, who is a Runes of Fate or Fortune caster, and if the number of smart missiles in the metagame goes down it seems at least somewhat plausible that Drukhari might want a six-model 85pt unit who can farm them a CP every turn with Fateful Divergence . Probably not much play for Craftworlds though.

All of these except Stand Firm help the unit they go on get a lot done in the turn you decide to commit with them, which is crucial for getting the payoff you need from your Aspects, while Stand Firm just adds a lot of utility at a low price, so why not. I envision my spirit host as having two halves in balance, composed of close combat Wraithblades and ranged Wraithguard, each led by a Spiritseer and supported by a Wraithlord. The Spiritseers are themselves proteges of the famed Iyanna Arienal, seen in Gav Thorpe’s Rise of the Ynnari: Ghost Warrior. Standard Wraithlord equipment include two Power fists, with flamers or Shuriken Cannons attached to the side. In addition, some Wraithlords are equipped with heavy armaments such as Scatter Lasers, missile launchers, Bright Lances and starcannons. Weaponry is often chosen to complement the soul of the spirit controlling the Wraithlord, as their predisposition towards different types of combat follows them beyond death - those who favoured close combat will still attempt to tear their enemies limb from limb or cleave foes with a massive Ghostglaive. [7] Famous Wraithlords Lore for the Asuryani, covering the fall of the Eldar, the Craftworlds and their notable champions. This incredibly resilient material enables the Ghost Warriors to stride across the most violent of battlefields and weather bolter blasts from Traitor Marines or sizzling bio-plasma from dreaded Tyranid hive fleet creatures. These constructs were referred to as their own class of robots, despite the disembodied sentience that guided them. They have made no further appearance as originally conceived in the later editions of Warhammer 40,000 canon and seem to have been replaced by Eldar Wraithlord and Wraithguard constructs, which operate in a very similar manner and also are controlled by the Spirit Stones of long-dead Eldar warriors. There’s plenty of guidance on how to paint your chosen subfaction, as well as fascinating lore on their histories, victories, and defeats. Chaos Thwarted (899.M41) - A vast Word Bearers Traitor Legion voidship storms out of the Eye of Terror and sets a path towards Craftworld Il-Kaithe. In response, the Asuryani release their Ghost Warriors aboard the monstrous vessel. Battle rages within its cavernous corridors for several solar weeks, the Ghost Warriors enduring ferocious firepower from scores of Daemon Engines. Eventually, the tide of battle turns when, in one of the ship's rancid landing bays, three Il-Kaithe Wraithknights engage in combat with a debased Chaos Feral-class Titan. They finally blast it into the void of space and then begin the methodical slaughter of the remaining Chaos forces.

The following information is not to be regarded as officially sanctioned and/ or is not written from an in-universe point of view. A detailed explanation of the term "Trivia" as used in the Lexicanum can be found here. This union is not something that the Asuryani embrace. In fact, most believe it is an abhorrent act of necromancy and something to be used only when no other means of salvation presents itself. Eldar Dreadnoughts first appeared in White Dwarf 100 (UK), May 1988, pg.2. They are presented alongside Imperium and Orks Dreadnoughts. It is mentioned that Eldar craftsmen operate these machines through "mind-impulse link", allowing them to control the dreadnoughts as if they were their own bodies. [9] Dreadnoughts were joined a month later White Dwarf 101 (UK), June 1988, pg 2, by the Spirit-Warrior, also known by its commercial name: Eldar War Robot. Similar in design to Eldar Dreadnoughts, the main difference is that they are controlled by an Infinity Circuit rather than a pilot, and they can use Psychic Power if the transferred Eldar spirit is that of a Seer [10] Evolution toward the Wraithlord The Spirit-Warrior miniature-design and rules didn't make it in Codex: Eldar (2nd Edition); however, the Eldar Dreadnought lore evolved: An Eldar Dreadnough contains the spirit of a dead Eldar warrior [11], and its name was eventually changed to Wraithlord in Codex: Eldar (3rd Edition) (see pg 18). SourcesThe predominant type of Ghost Warrior in use among the craftworlds is the Wraithguard. These giant robotic warriors are shaped from the immensely resilient substance known as wraithbone, and tower above the Spiritseers that accompany them upon the battlefield. A few forward-thinking groups of Aeldari managed to avoid the Fall, building vast spaceships called Craftworlds and escaping their increasingly debased kin. Known as the Asuryani, these refugees have lived a precarious existence in the millennia since the coming of Slaanesh, preserving a more austere way of life and guarding against another calamity.
