I dont like this song nearly as much as the first two. very very generic. lyrics weak again, chorus is not very good. I dont really enjoy this song but the title has fish in it so I like that. last minute of the song also has a change that I like a lot more then the rest so that is strange, strange weezer, like a ghost, strange.song sounds fairly nice, nice soft song, lyrics seem pointless but I like how the song sounds. not much else to say, perfectly good song that deserves to be on album. the do's annoy me during chorus As with all Weezer albums, it was an album of firsts. It was the first album to feature current bassist Scott Shriner after the breakdown and departure of Mikey Welsh, the first to contain a booklet with lyrics (which included a special message thanking Weezer boardies), and the first to feature more than ten songs. The first 600,000 copies of Maladroit were numbered in a limited edition, with gold foil digits at the bottom corner. singing annoys me slightly on this, lyrics do too. that said, there is something about this song I like, I just couldnt say what. song is perfectly fine, not bad, would suggest more barking. Cuomo describes “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here,” and the song that immediately precedes it, “No One Else,” thusly: ““No One Else” is about the jealous obsessive a__hole in me freaking out on my girlfriend …“The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” is the same a__ole wondering why she’s gone.” While Cuomo’s lyrics on Pinkerton can sound problematic by today’s standards, this song is a reminder that he’s not promoting misogyny so much as thoughtfully probing it. 15: LA Girlz

There’s very little doubt that the latter accusation was not meant as a compliment, but perhaps its reflective of how enigmatic Rivers was at this point that it never crossed the writer’s mind that he might take it as one. slow song, weezer ballad. I actually like this song. it sounds quite nice, instruments nice, melodies nice. In this case, Maladroit's second half is boring as hell. And I really mean it, the last four songs make me sleep. Cuomo: Yeah, or asking me to play a certain song. I only like the chorus of this song. everything else annoys me. instruments sound bad until chorus too. verses bad bad versus, bad verses! also pointless guitar solo Of course, this wouldn’t be the last time that Weezer embraced their heavier side – they made an album called Van Weezer for pity’s sake – but Malardoit would be arguably the last time that Rivers presented himself to the world without a protective shield of irony around everything he did, keeping fans and critics alike at arms length, never allowing us to spot sincerity without a hint of snark.
