About this deal

For the most part, the VG248QE is a solid performer. Its color accuracy wasn't terrible but it wasn't ideal either. As shown in the chromaticity chart below, the 1920 x 1080 TN panel produced oversaturated greens, but blues and reds were much closer to their CIE (International Commission On Illumination) coordinates. Greens did appear to be a bit heavy in my test photos but not heavy enough to cause tinting. So, make sure you are using a Dual-link DVI or a DisplayPort cable on an ASUS VG248/QE monitor for the 144 Hz refresh rate.

Information about the brightness of the screen. It is measured in candela per square metre (cd/m²). For your information, the version of HDMI available on the ASUS VG248/QE monitor doesn’t support the 144 Hz refresh rate at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. At 144Hz, theASUS VG248QE input lag amounts to only ~5ms, which makes it fit for professional gaming.Other panel-related specs include a 350-nit peak brightness, a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio, and 8-bit color depth with 16.7 million supported colors, all of which is standard for a monitor at this price range. TheASUS VG248QE doesn’t support AMD FreeSyncvariable refresh rate technology, but it does have NVIDIA 3D Visionand NVIDIA 3D LightBoost.

The ASUS VG248QE is one of the most popular classic 144Hz gaming monitors for competitive FPS gaming.Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively.
