I loved Alasdair's uncles. They are hilarious and they mean well but sometimes go about things the wrong way. Alasdair and Sophie make such a sweet couple, I was really rooting for them. I have been reading this series since it began and these books just get better and better. I cannot recommend this series enough. Lynsay Sands does it again! I love the Argeneau Series. Yes, she has a formula, but I love that formula. And, I was sure I knew the mystery at the end, but I didn't - she surprised me again! Pros: continuing the series with more relatives that are not the main Toronto family group and touching on some more of the Scottish clan. We already met Valerian who is of the Scottish family side who fell in love with Natalie over the love of golf ranges. Alasdair, a cousin of Valerian’s, meets Sophie when he, his twin, and uncles go to Natalie and Valerian’s wedding (Sophie attends as Tybo’s date). A smelter was built in 1872, but it would take several years before the town was officially established in 1874. Named Tybo, a word derived from the Shoshone, meaning “white man’s district,” the settlement began to boom the following year when the Tybo Consolidated Mining District was formed. All of the sudden, Alasdair’s matchmaking family member Marguerite Argeneau Notte–notorious for “knowing” who an immortal’s lifemate will be–starts working her magic by sitting a very attractive human next to him at the ceremony. But once they lay eyes on each other… sizzling chemistry ensues! Especially when his Scottish brogue starts to come out! Holy hot Scotsman!The only thing not included is the dye, but Rit Dye sells individual colours separately and offers a huge range. We went for aquamarine, but you could buy as many as you like (bearing in mind you have three squeezy bottles). As you can buy liquid dye that comes premixed there’s not too much faff, and we got brilliant colours that lasted well. I had a great time with this one. One of my favorite things about this series, and Lynsay Sands in general, is how funny they are. Even with some serious things going on the characters lives, nothing can get in the way of these lifemates, not even four nosey uncles and mysterious deaths.
