About this deal

Jewison said: “He (McQueen) would say, you’re twisting my melon, man, you’re twisting my melon. You’re getting me all mixed up… he used to say to me. He talked so hip I never knew what he was saying half the time.”

I also think that they should have added scenes with what happened with Yi Chan and Cheong Ah after the accident and Eun Gyeol left. Younger Ha Yi Chan acted by Choi Hyun Wook was again a bonus because we know he's great at portraying this funky outgoing guy vibe. Chemistry of Ha Yi chan and Cheong Ah was also so mushy and natural that made me root for them all along... Ryeom and Seol in ah also did a convincing job at their roles... haven't seen Ryeom before but he was good at acting all those frustrating scenes when he had to face the mess of his time travel.Britton, Luke Morgan (19 November 2013). Another question is does Eun Gyeol remember his life after the time travel like the 18 years of his life when he grew up wealthy? Empire, Kitty (9 October 2011). "Twisting My Melon: The Autobiography by Shaun Ryder – review". The Observer. Archived from the original on 15 October 2021 . Retrieved 12 May 2022.

Ryder's charm has always lain in the disjunction between his two personae – scumbag and seer. But even after rehab and therapy, he doesn't really do rueful. He does feel bad about a few things – crying at Wilson's hospital bedside, not being around when his eldest children were little. Towards the end of the book, he describes the lost years of emotional deep freeze from which he is still emerging. Sometimes, though, Twisting My Melon seems to pass in an almost banal litany of pharmacologically inspired misdemeanours, recounted matter-of-factly, without particular glee or regret. a b c d e Dingwall, John (9 October 2011). So, not a song about a poor girl, but a song of hope and how you can rise up no matter how far down you started. The comedic timings in this drama were perfect. After all Choi Hyun Wwook is there in this drama. I loved Ha Yi Chan blurting out random english words in the middle of the sentences. lol This show has a lot of music, dramatic comedy (often overdramatic with exaggerated expressions but trust me it will make you smile), two cute couples and a bunch of high schoolers who would apparently form a band and great friendships (usual to such youth dramas).

Now, depending on the Happy Mondays' musical influences, the line could be a play on the standard blues theme "squeeze my lemon". What does "squeeze my lemon" mean? Draw your own conclusion from this stanza from Led Zeppelin's The Lemon Song: Overall, this was a very good drama. I really loved it. A solid 9/10 from me. But there were many plotholes and things that were not explained and didn't have a proper closure. Though the ending wasn't rushed, I think that a few more minutes or an addictional episode would have been good.

She not only stayed alive, she turned her hard beginnings around, became self sufficient, successful and someone with respect for herself. She didn't let the naysayers and judgers stop her. She's the one sitting in the drivers seat at the end. A noteworthy character here is Yi Chan's grandmother acted by Go Doo Shim. Loved her positive presence throughout the show... somehow this show is such a comfort watch thing and quite entertaining if you end up liking the characters. I watched it as it aired so I actually become reluctant towards the end that like "is it really ending tomorrow? I'll miss them" But the show belongs to Paul's brother Shaun, one of the most loveable rogues of modern times. Singing lines like "God rains it E's all on me" and the still baffling "Your twisting my melon man" on the timeless "Step On" (the song to which every indie kid learnt to dance to) he talks his way through with a swagger matched only by Ian Brown." This song captivates me still, after 50+ years. Takes me to the deep South and the poverty of some who lived thru truly hard times. And the powerful spirit of a poor young girl being abandoned to her future with only a red dress and her wits to keep her alive. Shaun Ryder autobiography out this week". Pills 'n' Thrills & Bellyaches (Collector's Edition) [Remastered] Tracklist

According to an on-line review of the Happy Mondays' 1990 album "Pills, Thrills, and Bellyaches", it would seem that they made it up. The reviewer refers to the line as "still baffling":
