In December 1977, Hall boasted to barmaid Mary Coggle and petty criminal Michael Kitto that he planned to rob his employers. He then took his pals to the Scott-Elliot’s Kensington apartment. But Mrs. Scott-Elliot turned up unexpectedly and was killed, probably smothered. The three crooks then put her body in the trunk of the Scott-Elliot’s car.
