How is the Ghost of Christmas Present described in the book?Instructions: Start by cutting out two long strips from the red felt sheet. These will be your elf stripes. Hot glue them down the sides of the shirt and pants. Next, cut out a large triangle from the red felt sheet to be your elf hat. Hot glue it to the top front of the headband. Finally, add some gold string or ribbon around the edge of the hat and attach pointed elf ears (optional). And that’s it! You’re ready to spread some holiday cheer as an Elf this year. Christmas Tree Costume Once again, you can't buy a costume that's sold specifically for this purpose. However, the Ghost of Christmas future almost always looks a lot like the Grim Reaper, which is an easy costume to buy. Hairstyle: Finally, this spirit is described as disheveled and unkempt with long curly brown hair and an equally ragged beard. His main role is to show Scrooge the impact of his actions in the present day, particularly regarding the Cratchit family and their frail child, Tiny Tim.
Beyond that, he is often shown to be holding either an ornate gold chalice (symbolizing the merriment and excess of the holiday season) or a crooked wooden staff. The choice is yours and both are versatile accessories that can be used for other costumes too. Unlike the otherworldly Ghost of Christmas Past and the skeletal Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, the Present is depicted as a jovial and larger-than-life human figure.
