It does feel heavy'ish, but seems to sit fine. If you want volume it must be turned on, and it will stop recording when there is no noise of voices. So you end up with multiple videos from one outing. I've yet to try recording with volume off. The field of view is a little narrower than I would like for a dash-cam, and the field of view seems to be columnated a bit below perpendicular. To put that another way, the center of the video is about 10-15 degrees below that at which I am aiming. Upload date-stamps via sub-folder name (but not files-- the device does not know what time it is) based upon the day of upload. Rolling shutter: If you've got a lot of vibrations going on where the camera is mounted (i.e. on handle bars or rear) and have fairly hard tires etc, you might notice some "waving" of the footage. The camera is pretty bad for rolling shutter affect although head mounted not a problem at all. My granddaughter lives abroad but came over this last Christmas when she was just short of three years old; I just clipped this onto the side of a cup and let it roll and because of its depth of field excellent videos of her from a few feet to the other side of the room were recorded beautifully. I should note that the time it takes to charge (2 hours) means that any upload time less than that for a full card is really not an issue unless I am anxious to view the video. I read the pdf version of the documentation (supplied on the CD) because I do not like reading what must be 4 point type of the included printed manual. The results exceeded my expectations; the video has an excellent crisp look to it, good colour rendition and excellent contrast, even low light conditions are good, the sound quality was also something of a pleasant surprise.

Its low weight has allowed me to attach it using Velcro to my car mirror so I can record my journeys. Works well in the night. I know people have reviewed this camera saying that it's poor in the night. It's far from a great picture. But compared to other camera in this price range it still does a good job, even if the picture has softer edges etc, that's to be expected as the exposure goes up. I can still get license plates from the footage at night which is more than can be said for the expensive Drift HD camera! (which is poor at night despite night mode and with the wide lens makes plates hard to read unless really close up).The sound activation makes it useful to watch over your house when you are away, it claims, not tested, to run for 250 hours on standby. It's interesting that all my videos so far indicate that they were modified Dec 31, 2000 12:00 am. However, the times and date of the video creation have been correct.
