Recipe Ingredients
Gochukaru. Korean dried chili flakes. Can be swapped with mustard powder or cayenne, if you don’t have it.
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl and whisk well until the sauce turns an evenly tangerine (orange) color. Gochujang –Is a Korean chilli paste and is usually found in a red tub at your Asian supermarket or online .That’s it. Really nothing to it except maybe a trip to your local Asian market. If you like sriracha mayonnaise, you will love gochujang mayo. If you want more bite, add a bit of garlic for gochujang aioli. Honestly? Nothing. There's not true substitute for Korean Gochujang. It's a wonderful flavor and worth every minute of waiting for it to ship if you can't find it locally. I’ve seen it on funkier menus around town. Good sign. Korean cooking is way under-rated. You owe it to yourself to try it some time.
