About this deal

Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Polk S15's and Klipsch R-41M's external dimensions. Polk S15 has external dimensions of 304.8 x 190.0 x 260.4mm ( 12.0 x 7.4 x 10.2inch) whereas Klipsch R-41M has external dimensions of 287.0 x 146.0 x 200.0mm ( 11.2 x 5.7 x 7.8inch) . The R-41M also uses the Klipsch proprietary LTS tweeter driver, which minimizes sound distortion and increases sound quality. The tweeters consist of 1-inch aluminum. Just like other Klipsch speakers, the R-41M is a horn-loaded speaker. It uses 90×90° Tractrix horn technology to reduce any artificial reverb. This way, the R-41M improves sound quality.

One of the things you notice about the R-41M’s soundstage is that they are designed for a central listening position, as opposed to the sound being evenly spread across the room. This makes them especially good as desktop speakers or home theater setups, but not as good for filling out a room. Verdict This means that putting the speakers too close to any wall or similar object will seriously hamper the bass’s quality that the speaker is putting out.compared to a lower max handling speaker. Loudness or the sound level is also impacted by parameters The tweeter drive also uses the Linear Travel Suspension system designed by Klipsch. This system also works in conjunction with the Tractrix square to minimize audio distortion. Bluetooth pairing is a little clunky. The speakers do not automatically re-pair with your phone or tablet when they are switched to Bluetooth. So every time you want to use Bluetooth, you have to manually connect. It doesn't take long, but it's annoying. Performance The paneling on all sides is made out of MDF covers. MDF looks good and helps in reducing any excess vibrations that might bleed out from the speakers. It is also scratch-resistant. When it comes to controls these speakers don’t come with any special controls or features. There is just an input and extender connector available for you to connect it with your AV receiver and with your other speaker.

Klipsch R-41M comes with 8 Self-adhesive rubber feet which you can use to secure your loudspeaker on the surface that you are putting on.Following the same philosophy, their R-41M proves once again that high-quality audio doesn’t always require huge investments. The R51M also comes with a similar design but they are significantly bigger than the R41M. These speakers also come with the same outlooks and persona. But these speakers are more geared towards audiophiles as the speakers come with massive power output. Size of a speaker can sometimes become an important decision factor due to space constraints or in some cases purely for esthetic reasons. In this section, we are going to compare Polk XT15's and Klipsch R-41M's external dimensions. Polk XT15 has external dimensions of 270.0 x 167.0 x 183.0mm ( 10-5/8 x 6-9/16 x 7-3/16inch) whereas Klipsch R-41M has external dimensions of 287.0 x 146.0 x 200.0mm ( 11.2 x 5.7 x 7.8inch) .

The update to the reference series have more powerful amps and a dynamic bass EQ feature. That means the R-41M can get louder than the older R-14M, while also benefitting from improved bass. However, they still don’t get quite as loud as the discontinued R-15Ms, which currently costs around the same. Consider the R-15Ms as an alternative to the R-41Ms. Klipsch speakers are a lot of fun and really come to life at higher volumes. Most people agree that their signature sound makes them very well-suited for home theater. They are decent for listening to music, but if high volume listening is not a requirement, there are better alternatives within the same budget. Klipsch’s exclusive Tractrix® horn technology delivers the power, detail and emotion of the live music experience with the cleanest, most natural sound possible. There are several bigger and more expensive speakers that do a slightly better job than this pair of speakers. They’re not the perfect option when it comes to filling out a room with sound. Acoustic Panels and Treatments: Your room is as important as your stereo equipment so acoustic treatments goes a long way in improving the overall performance. Similarly to the rest of the Reference family (the older R-14M, R-15M, and the R-51M), the R-41M loses a bit on the lower frequency side, but truly we can’t expect more from the size and budget of these speakers. Personally, I love the stripped-down design, which has always been a trademark of the Indiana-based brand. Build quality 4.5 On my right I had the Pioneer SP-BS22-LR and on the left the Klipsch R-41M. With levels matched and playing one channel at a time, the R-41M had no bass. It was all mid to highs. And boy, are those some highs. If you have not shaved, they are sharp enough to do that for you. I can see without a reference an inexperienced listener would instantly like them as "more clear, more detail, better imaging, etc." Switch to Pioneer though and you hear such a balance in tonality. Bass is there and overall sound is warm and pleasant. Not so with R-41M
