So many things we had to worry about technically, how they worked. The wedding dress is definitely one of them. We had to have it so that she could spin, and it would twirl when she twirled. That wedding dress was quite heavy. I spoke with the designer of the dress, Tex Saverio, via Skype on a lot of it. He built this kind of hoop underneath, to make sure it stayed light. The spinning worked, surprisingly, really, really well. When she was onstage, I was pretty surprised at how much air it did catch.

For the 75th Hunger Games, the tributes had electric-light-studded outfits. [3] District 4 - Fishing [ ] A pair of knee pads come attachable to the suit so that your knees are protected when it comes to those combat moments against the other tributes or you are making your way through the jungle in the arena.

One of the things that Francis and I talk about—and we talked with Elizabeth about it—is that Effie is in a really tough position. She lived this Capitol life, but she starts to realize how damaging this all is. She looks happy, and she’s very Capitol, and she’s vibrant and she’s colorful—but she’s always uncomfortable.

Effie, over time, gets a little more serious. She loses a little bit of her flightiness. Were you able to reflect that in her clothing as the movie progressed? Covered in sparkly gold sequins and spectacular moon headpieces, the male and female tributes sported far-out costumes for the 74th Hunger Games. They were "flying to the moon." It also represented that it takes time to travel, and that some people used to use the moon for directions. [1] District 7 - Lumber [ ] Well, one of the great liberties that we did have is, in the world of Panem, in the Capitol, fashion is constantly changing. So we didn’t really have to stay literally tied to a lot of things. After the first film, we got to change with trends and fashion, like in the real world, but at a different pace in the Capitol. Clove and Cato were dressed as gods to represent their district. The gold color was shiny and sure to catch attention. Their headpieces were made of the same materials as the victor's crown/headband. [1] District 3 - Technology [ ]The District 10 male and female tributes had costumes that were glitzed up in golden fringe, and meant to represent cowboys and cowgirls from their district. [1] Volunteer as tribute alongside a reaped Peeta and represent District 12 in our Adult Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen Costume. This suit was worn in the second Hunger Games film, 'Catching Fire' when Katniss Everdeen enters the Quarter Quell with the other districts victors in a tropical beach themed anniversary tournament. The male tribute and Foxface wore costumes that reflected light and shone whenever the tributes turned around. The glittering, eye-catching silver represents the color of wires and other power-like items. Their costumes represented a solar panel. [1] District 6 - Transportation [ ]
