Our Wi-Fi Instruments will run on Wi-Fi Channels 1-13 (Channels 1-11 on firmware versions before 1.2.4.0). The Classic Super-Fast Thermapen batteries are rated for 1,500 hours of use (was 100 hours). In the battery compartment you can enable and disable the auto-off feature. The auto-off feature will extend the life of the batteries. See owner's manual for details. Simply unfold the food probe from the side of the thermometer body, insert it into the food item, and the temperature is instantly displayed on the LCD screen in around one second. Originally, we manufactured the Thermapen in gray only. Later we added all the food-safety color-coding versions. Many people in the food industry use color coding to prevent cross contamination by dedicating tools to specific food products. That way, a knife, cutting board or thermometer that is used for say, raw poultry, won't end up contaminating fresh vegetables like salad greens. Incorporated into the body material of your ETI product, Biomaster becomes an integral part of it, providing durable, lifelong protection against the threat of cross contamination. The ThermaData Studio software has the ability to display up to 32 traces on a graph, the trace colours are user selectable. All files can be viewed as thumbnail icons for easy identification.

The thermometer is available in 10 colors including red, purple, and blue, and has a 1.54 x 1in / 1.43 x 1.185cm (w x h) LCD screen that shows the temperature reading. The LCD automatically rotates based on the position in which the thermometer is being held, so no matter the angle from which you look at it, the reading will always be displayed the right way up. The automatic 360° rotational display is protected by UK Patent No. GB 2504936 and USA Patent No. US 9470560 The Thermapen thermometer has a large digital display with a precise read out with the range of the thermometer -49.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution and an accuracy of ±0.4 °C. The resolution can be switched to 1 °C, if required, The switch is in the battery compartment so is easy to locate. The thermometer will shut down after ten minutes, ensuring maximum battery life. This feature can be disabled if not required. Both low battery (icon) and open circuit indication are also displayed, when applicable. We do not recommend connecting our Wi-Fi loggers to a Wi-Fi system set up using boosters or extenders to improve the original Wi-Fi router strength. This has not been tested with all available boosters/extenders and we cannot confirm this method would work. The Thermapen's speed and accuracy will reveal more about food and cooking techniques than you ever imagined. You'll learn that temperatures are always changing; a roast is never the same temperature throughout while cooking. If you want to know what's really going on, get a Thermapen. Our ThermaData Wi-Fi loggers are only compatible with 2.4GHz frequencies routers and will only run on DHCP, open/WEP/WPA/WPA2-personal network types (not compatible with solely 5GHz frequencies routers).
