About this deal

The main argument that the lead developer of their Silicon Labs EFR32 “EZSP” adapter implementation has is that keeping Silabs based adapters listed as “Not recommended” by the Zigbee2MQTT community discourages any users and new developers from actively trying it out and assisting in the development of the Silicon Labs EFR32 “EZSP” adapter implementation by reporting all bugs/issues or helping out with the development, thus hindering the development of support for other adapter implementations than those based on Texas Instruments Zigbee chips. Elelabs EZSP Firmware Upgrade Utility can be used to flash the firmware to a newer or older version: Should be noted that a few manufacturer's devices (most notably a few Aqara/Xiaomi and Tuya devices) have badly written firmware that either prevents them from routing messages from other manufacturer's brands of devices or refuses to connect through a Zigbee Router that is not of the same manufacturer and/or brand.

I like the CC-2538 but it was not so easy getting it in EU and then i was doing the "Billy EZSP" so no need of it in my systems. We will use the channel number and the network key on the ot-cli-ftd to join the two FTDs to this thread network. Set up and add FTD to our Thread network (out of band method) https://community.arm.com/developer/ip-products/processors/trustzone-for-armv8-m/f/trustzone-armv8-m-forum/8338/what-is-the-top-level-difference-in-features-between-cortex-m33-and-cortex-m4 Second, you need a software supporting the XMODEM file transfer protocol open in new window for sending the firmware image to the device. On Debian Linux like Ubuntu you can use lrzsz,https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2FCoolKit-Technologies%2FDevDocs%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2FZigbee%2FSM-011%E5%BA%94%E7%94%A8%E6%8C%87%E5%AF%BC%E4%B9%A6.md zigbee-herdsman:adapter:ezsp:uart Error while parsing to ZpiObject 'RangeError: Attempt to access memory outside buffer bounds Demos: (Optional) Flash the prebuilt demos directly on the radio board for any of the sample applications. Users are encouraged to try the Demos firmware set up as an optional exercise. Please refer the "Optional firmware set up - Demos" section at the end of this codelab for details. Perhaps more important to know today is that EZSP v5, v6 and v7 (EmberZNet 6.6.x.x) use the same framing format, but EmberZNet 6.7.x.x/EZSP v8 introduced new framing format and expanded command id field from 8 bits to 16 bits." SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2 (first need to run update script if from first hardware batch shipped)

Install Silabs CP210x device drivers (CP2102N USB-to-UART bridge / USB-to-Serial converter chip) needed for Windows OS and Mac OS, (this also required a reboot of my operating-system). Start pairing Zigbee devices as stated on the Zigbee Binding documentation: ZigBee - Bindings | openHABAlso follow all the general tips in https://github.com/zigpy/zigpy/wiki/Generic-best-practice-tips-on-improving-Zigbee-network-range-and-general-stability as all Zigbee Coordinator adapters is very sensitive to EMI/RFI interference (e.g. a noisy radio frequency environment will jam the signal and prevent it from receiving all Zigbee messages to it without errors). Connecting the dongle via a long “shielded” USB extension cable in a USB 2.0 port or USB 2.0 hub (and not a USB 3.0 port) to get it away from EMF sources will usually help a lot if experiencing connection or pairing symptoms/issues.

Go to Configuration, Integrations, hit the Plus to add a new integration. Select Zigbee Home Automation . I also asked ITead about the default RF output power configuration and was told that the new ZBDongle-E adapter currently ships with Zigbee NCP 6.10.3 firmware that has enabled 20 dBm output RF power default, however is not hardcoded in the firmware so users/applications can choose to lower output RF power if they want. At least one Ethernet cable for connecting the Raspberry Pi to Internet. The WSTKs also support debug and flashing over IP so, optionally, additional Ethernet cables can be used to connect the WSTK to your host system via an Ethernet Switch.I was hoping this would be a bit more straight forward. But this really doesn't make the USB adapter a very "accessible" USB attached EFR32MG21 adapter for zigpy... Obviously need to replace number in “COM5” with the port # actually shown used under ports in Device Manager on Windows on your computer as the OS will just assign the next available Serial/COM-port.
