About this deal

Begin at one corner of the design and press according to the setting outlined for your base and iron-on material. Once your timer beeps, move the heat press to a new section and repeat. It’s okay if the EasyPress overlaps just a bit with the previously heated area. Just make sure you don’t leave any gaps that have had no heat applied. Start timer and move Cricut EasyPress Mini continuously across design until timer reaches 0. Cover all areas of design including center and edges and allow heat plate to extend approximately 0.5" (13 mm) beyond all edges of design. The EasyPress 2 heats up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit which makes it perfect to use with infusible ink products since you need constant, spread-up high heat for the transfer to be successful.

The EasyPress is not just a beautiful machine design-wise, it's also a very intuitive and easy to use heat machine. I cut my design from Design Space on my Cricut Maker. Make sure to always mirror your images when working with iron-on. Then I carefully weeded out the negative space using a weeding tool. Step 2: Prep mat, base material, and EasyPress Another benefit of the EasyPress in comparison to an industrial heat press is the size and the weight, heat presses are bulky and extremely heavy. As I've mentioned before, it all depends on the kind of projects you are making, I have the 10×12 inches and while it's perfect for most projects, it's not the best when trying to use it with small items like toddler tees or baby onesies. The EasyPress is a Cricut machine companion, it combines the lightweight portability of a regular iron with the evenly-distributed heat and the surface of a heat press.

Iron-on material is traditionally associated with fabric, but you can use the EasyPress to adhere iron-on designs to other bases like wood and paper. As with ironing on to fabric, your base material and workspace must be super flat so that the EasyPress can distribute heat evenly.

Different color choices (purely cosmetic—this in no way affects the quality of your heat transfer). Make sure to turn your project inside out to give another press and make sure your project is as good as possible. Timer Button: This button works just like the temperature button. Press down and use the + or – to change the timer. Preheat your surface: Once your EasyPress has reached the desired temperature, it will beep. Now you can press your surface for about 5 seconds. This will get rid of all wrinkles and smooth your surface if you sill see wrinkles, press again for another 5 seconds.Cut your design: First, you need to cut your design and weed it, remember that you need to mirror the design before cutting if you are using heat transfer vinyl for your project. in this case, I am going to share the sample project that comes with the Easypress 2, so I didn't have to cut it and the carrier sheet comes with the shape of the graphic, so there is no weeding to do. It works great with traditional heat transfer vinyl, as well as the fun stuff like heat transfer foil, glitter, and metallic materials. Wait a minute…why do I need an EasyPress if I have an iron? Next was the glitter (270 degrees), and finally the foil (290 degrees). Be careful – both the glitter and the foil need to cool completely before you peel off the transfer tape! Before having an EasyPress 2, I thought that I didn’t need one, that my iron would do just fine. And if you are only making small things for yourself, I don't think the price tag justify for you to get one. One great tip from the folks at Cricut is to fold your base material in half and use your EasyPress to create small creases in the material. This will for a plus sign on your base material that will help guide you when placing larger items.

Safety Note: Do not use the EasyPress while small children or pets are around, and always return the EasyPress to its safety base when you’re not using it. Even when it’s not hot, it’s just good practice. The heat plate can get VERY hot and cause severe burns if you touch it. Step 1: Cut design Orange light means it's heating up. Green light means temperature has been reached. Beep sounds when it's ready.

Find a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface, around waist-high. Use an EasyPress Mat to protect your surface.
