About this deal

The color of the category suggests the “straightforwardness” of the category, with the brightest color being the easiest to deduce.

That’s how you play the new puzzle game from the New York Times. The four sets of words are each color-coded according to their difficulty, and you’re allowed four “mistakes” (like my initial guess) before you officially lose. I only made that one mistake my first time, and solved the next day’s puzzle perfectly. Connections (Puzzle #2) Connections Game is a puzzle-based game that requires players to identify groups of items that share a common characteristic or category. Connections Game is a captivating puzzle where you rearrange 16 words into sets of four. Be cautious as some words have multiple meanings that can easily confuse you! About ConnectionsIf you are a long-time fan ofWordle and just recently discovered Connections Game, chances are that you have noticed how similar yet different these two games are. Both games revolve around words and letters, and the excitement of completing the puzzle is immeasurable. However, the longer you play, the more you notice the distinct characteristics that make Worldle and Connections Game two very different puzzle games. You can play unlimited Connections games using 500+ totally different puzzles everyday. Can I play Connections in my own language? Think of the possible categories: As the game stated, a category needs to be more specific than something like “5-letter words”, so try to be more detailed. For example, there are multiple words that refer to “weather”, but with more deduction, they turn out to be in the “wet weather” category. This is especially helpful when your fourth word has multiple meanings.

You have four mistakes available. When you run out, the game is over, and you’ll get to see the answers you missed. Solve the puzzle of the day and/or play unlimited Connections Puzzle games to hone your word skills! Here's a hint for each of the word groups in today's Connections puzzle, plus a couple more clues to help you find the answer:

Connections Hint

Identify Patterns: Look for patterns, similarities, or relationships among the words. Consider their categories, contexts, or shared concepts. Identifying patterns will guide you to the common theme.

Begin with monosemous words first: Monosemy refers to words with only one meaning. These words are your best bet if you want to guess a category right. I tried this on a Connections puzzle that had a bunch of words that might be cat names, and some religious words whose exact theme was unclear. The rest were a mystery to me. So I started writing down possible groups: The game presents you with 16 tiles that each have a word or short phrase on them. On each move, your job is to select four tiles that you think form a group. Groups are usually the same type of thing (like hail, rain, sleet, snow) but there’s usually at least one grouping that relies on wordplay. For example, one puzzle grouped doubt, shadow, movie, and vote—those are all things you can cast. Puzzle games with elements of challenge and achievement, like Connections, release dopamine in the brain. This chemical not only contributes to feelings of happiness and optimism but also enhances cognitive processes such as memory, learning, concentration, and motivation. The satisfaction you experience after completing each puzzle can be attributed to dopamine. Expand Your Polysemy Vocabulary

Where to play Connections

Hone your problem-solving skills: In Connections Game, you can only afford four wrong guesses, which means you have to consider each word combination carefully. When doing this, you are actually training to be a strategic and resolute thinker. The good part is, you can apply this skill to every aspect of your life, especially in the workplace. That’s why you should play Connections Game on a daily basis!

Your job is to figure out what these themes are that connect the various words together - but be wary, because a lot of the time there are red herring connections placed in there deliberately to throw you off! To win the game, you have to find all four Connections without making 4 mistakes. On your fourth mistake, the game is over and the answer is revealed automatically. Look up the definition of words you don’t know: You may frequently come across words or names for which you have no idea what they mean. In that case, try looking them up online, since their meanings may just be the clues you need!If you need an even bigger clue to figure out today's Connections puzzle, below we'll reveal the four correct Connections groups - the themes which link together each set of four words in the Connections grid. Read Carefully: Thoroughly read and understand the words given in each puzzle. Pay attention to their meanings.
