Indigo 1 have been immortalised by legendary Beano artist Nigel Parkinson in this week’s issue of the comic and were handed the trophy by Minnie’s illustrator Laura Howell. They have also won Beano subscriptions and a fun-filled Beano Day for the class.Beano was inundated with jokes from all over the country for this year’s competition, and the entries were whittled down to a shortlist of the Top 10 funniest schools by a select committee of Beano’s best Joke Judges before the public crowned the winner. Famous YouTuber Mr. Boast pays a visit to Beanotown and Minnie will stop at nothing to win one of his amazing prizes! Beano 4210: Don't Lose Your Head, Dan! 1. While Mayor Brown hatches a plan to become focus of Beanotown’s Christmas media coverage, everyone else is preparing for the annual for the Red Ram Sledgehammer Speedrun. Betty and Yeti’s attempts to win somehow turn the cameras on Walter’s dad! 2. The Great Rubi Bake Off! competition entries will be featured in the Beano Birthday mini magazine, inserted in the Beano 85th Anniversary issue, on sale on 26.07.2023. These should include a “Dandytown Scouts” strip drawn by Mychailo Kazybrid and inked by Bambos Georgiou. Mychailo created the design for these characters and the characters feature can see on the cover. There should also be a couple of strips starring the characters in the Dandy Annual this year. Harry Styles, the King, Marcus Rashford, Lewis Hamilton and Stormzy feature in a special 85th anniversary edition of the popular comic. Leah Williamson OBE is a professional footballer who plays for Women's Super League club Arsenal and is also England women's national team captain! Class Indigo 1 (Year 5) from Greasley Beauvale Primary School in Eastwood crowned the nation’s funniest with “What happened to the maths teacher’s garden? It grew square roots” joke above proving once and for all (as if any of us ever doubted) that maths + jokes = lols!

Your artistic creation could be featured in a special mini-magazine and you could win a special Gnasher medal! The winning class have been immortalised in Beano form by the legendary Beano artist Nigel Parkinson and will be featuring in this week’s comic – which on sale now in shops across the country! On July 30, Beano will celebrate its 85th birthday! It's the day when the very first issue of the Beano was released in the shops!
