About this deal

With slight caveats (see below), an iPad connected directly to the B535's wifi (not via the USG) does have internet connectivity. However, I am also now very much of the view that the B535 is pretty poor, to say the least. (It is clearly possible that it is at least part of the problem.) Although the older B315 that I was using did what I needed to, it was clearly a mistake to blithely assume that the B535 would be ok and an improvement. So, in parallel with trying to make progress with the IPv4 problem, I’m also going to more seriously look at one or two other options, including the Mikrotik Chateau LTE12 and perhaps also their new ATL LTE18 external antenna with inbuilt router. I’ll probably start a separate thread with question on this shortly …. I wondered if devices connected to the 333 were working ok on EE without the connection to the USG, to get an idea if there's a problem with the EE SIM / APN in isolation. My 333 will not work on 4G with a Lebara (Vodafone) SIM, but it works fine on 3G. With an iD Mobile SIM, both 3G & 4G work without issue. One of the joys of 4G routers is that they’re usually incredibly easy to set up, as is the case with the Huawei B535 / Huawei HomeFi Plus. I read on a couple of Vodafone forum threads that there may be an issue with the IPv4 or IPv6 APNs, so a similar situation as you discovered earlier in the thread.

That said, this is only an issue for people who plan to make use of more than two ethernet ports – and EE’s network is often faster than Three’s, so it’s a strong alternative for some buyers. Conclusion This slim white rectangle comes in at 219 x 138mm and has a grey stand, slightly contrasting the colour of the box itself. There are a number of small lights along the front, showing you at a glance the router’s status, but that’s about as close as it gets to any kind of design flair. Setup The Huawei B535 4G Router 3 Pro also offers the option of connecting an external cellular antenna. The effect of a 4G LTE outdoor antenna was not tested separately in the test. If the external antenna is not automatically recognized, you can manually switch to the external antenna in the web interface.I have to say, it really depends on what your purpose is, these are basic routers built to a price for carriers. For me, on my 4Mbit ADSL, a 20MB 3G connection is quite an improvement.

The Huawei B535 WebBox / Huawei HomeFi Plus is one of the very best 4G routers available and arguably the best sold by a UK network at the time of writing. In terms of LTE speeds, the Huawei B535 was able to convince in the test. Although the device was tested in the test with unlimited SIM cards from Vodafone, it was far from the theoretical maximum, but with well over 150 Mbit/s in the downlink and up to 70 Mbit/s in the uplink, you can do a good life. We also take a comparison test with the Netgear Nighthawk M2 Router and it shows that the network theoretically enables even higher speeds. The Huawei B535 - also known as the Three 4G Hub or the Huawei HomeFi Plus - is a 4G home broadband router, which, as well as being able to buy SIM-free from some stores, you can also get on contract from Three. Buy the B535-333 4G Router to easily create a 4G Internet service for multiple PC’s with high speed 4G connectivity. The new router Huawei 4G Router 3 Pro (Huawei B535-232) was available in European countries for a few months, which is integrated LTE Cat7 modem and allows speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s in the downlink. As we introducted before, Huawei B535 router has many predecessor such as the Huawei B618 or the Huawei B818, which can provide much faster link speeds, but they also cost a lot more expensive than Huawei B535.Here’s where things get a bit more complicated, as while the Huawei B535 WebBox is a good performer by 4G router standards, it’s no match for a 5G router or many wired connections. And the actual speeds you get will in large part depend on your coverage. I suspect the certificate error may be connected to my changing the LAN IP from 192.168.8.1 to 192.168.0.1 as that's when I first noticed the problem. Their assumption is simply that a connecting client should implement which, in my case (and perhaps any scenario with a second router) requires CLAT to operate in the 4G modem/router -- which the B535-333 should do .... but only in IPv6-only mode.
