RGB: RGB mouse pads are pretty, but they're powered via USB. This doesn't necessarily need to plug into your PC, unless you want to customize the pad's RGB with software (or have it coordinate with your other peripherals). Also, not all RGB is created equal. The number of RGB zones (not the same as the number of LEDs) will determine how complex the light show can get.
There are two sizes on hand – the square one that gives you a spacious 450 x 450 mm surface area and the XXL size that offers a massive 900 x 420 mm space. The square one, we've found, is more than good enough, but if you want to home all your peripherals, the bigger version is affordable and worth considering. There are a few things we wish were done better here. There isn't an included USB adapter, which you will need to properly power the Qi charging, so we had to dig through our stash of wall chargers before we could test it. It needs two USB ports so you can take advantage of its features so if you're using a gaming laptop, it's not the best option. And, we did find that its Qi charging is a little on the weak side and requires you to be precise with your device placement.
But if you turn on the lighting, it turns into a beautiful set of RGB colors which you have the option to set it to 14 different lighting modes. If you are willing to do that, white mouse pads are an excellent option and look fantastic on gaming setups - especially if they’re white-themed. Can A Dirty Mouse Pad Affect Gaming? If you have a lot of dirt on your mouse pad, your sensor might catch the dirt and cause inaccuracies. While most gaming mouse pads deliver that good balance between smooth gliding and precision control, this offering from HyperX focuses on the latter. More of a desk Our main issue with the Atlas was its size — at 17.72 x 15.75 x 0.19 inches (450 x 400 x 5mm), and made of rigid glass, it’s a little too large to easily fit on the average desk, as it can’t be placed on uneven surfaces, nor are you supposed to put heavy, rough, sharp, hot, cold, etc. objects on top of it. Even just a little smaller would make this mouse pad an easier fit for the more deskspace-challenged.
Without an excellent mouse pad, you could have the best mouse or the best gaming mouse and still not have the best gliding and pointing experience. Upgrading from your desk to a proper mouse-friendly surface can help improve the experience of using your computing rodent. That's because mouse pads are designed with a surface that works better with a mouse's feet and sensor. The RGB lighting here is bright as well. And, the touch sensor is a nice touch, even though it only really lets you toggle between three onboard lighting profiles.

The yellow Roccat flag near the top left corner, on top of the Roccat logo, is a nice touch. However, it's still pretty minimal in terms of design and features. But, the focus here is agility so none of those matter. What is the best mouse pad to use? That texture allows for a bit more friction and resistance, which in turn offers better precision. The result is a more controlled gliding, which should help with competitive gaming on titles like Overwatch 2, Destiny 2, and Call of Duty. Though you also should know that it does feel a little rougher to glide your mouse on, which might be annoying for some people. It certainly felt a little weird for us to use it during testing. At least in the beginning. Any mouse pad is a must-have for gaming because they help your gaming mouse's sensor be more accurate. We've spent many weeks working and gaming on the Harber London Microfibre Minimalist Desk Mat, and we can honestly say that this is the best desk mats we've ever used. We would have put it at the top of our list, if it weren't for the fact that this is still first and foremost a mouse pad guide. Perhaps the weakest part of this mouse pad is its rubber base. It works effectively most of the time, but we have noticed that when we're moving our mouse more forcefully, the pad moves a little with it.
If you’re an RGB kind of guy/girl, then for sure, you will want to get a mouse pad with RGB capabilities.The brand claims that the cloth surface is machine-stitched, which apparently improves gliding. And, while we're not completely sure how that works, we've also put it through its paces, and we can attest to how smooth the gliding is and how it helps your need for speed when playing fast-paced games. A hard pad mousepad is made of the same material as a soft cloth pad, but instead of a fabric top, you have a plastic cover instead. Opt for a soft cloth mouse pad if you value control over your mouse movements; otherwise, if you love speed, opt for a hard plastic mouse pad. Sizing
