Walks with the Northampton U3A

This informal group meets on the second Tuesday of each month in members’ homes from 2pm until 4pm. Beacon was developed within the U3A and has one job: to support volunteers in their day-to-day work. Beacon will evolve to meet the future needs of U3As. The upgrade is being specified now by the Third Age Trust and by volunteers from U3As based all over the country.

The Annual Accounts 2022/23 for u3a Northampton have been prepared and audited. They may be viewed together with the This is an informal group of readers. We meet once a month in members homes. Anyone is welcome though, whether you have room to host it or not, there are enough people who are able to host it. We meet on the third Monday in the month at 2.30pm.

TV Presenter and journalist Steph McGovern is supporting a new skill sharing initiative celebrating the talents older people can share with the younger generation. We organize monthly meetings with interesting speakers, social events, day trips to explore places of interest. There is something for everyone and if you have a special interest which others would enjoy we will try to set up a new group. Please browse through our GROUPS to see what we do. Thursday is also market day, so there should be lots of added attractions for folk to get into the spirit of Christmas.
