This one bored me for some reason. I think I just didn’t care for either of the characters. Also the time jumps were so huge like I gotta know what happened in between. Stuff happened but I was still bored for some reason but it wasn’t the worst. forced proximity - the domestic moments in this book 🤗 why can't we have books with (fake) couples doing wholesome couple shit? some books are so oversaturated with drama and conflict which takes away from the main couple's interactions and we're left with a couple that has zero chemistry. here christianstella had adequate time not only to form a deeper bond after their initial sexual attraction but to also form a friendship. the way christian moved stella into his apartment after the stalker intruded in stellas home and the way he dropped everything to go to hawaii with her on her photoshoot??? 🎶 alexa play whatta man 🎶 christian also wrote stella letters every single day after they broke up, watered his own plants because he missed stella and resorted to talking to them = grovelling/emo christian (it's also giving colleen hoover christian, did you read All Your Perfects by any chance mr harper 🤣). Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he's faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her.They make such a cute couple,” the reporter next to me, a curvy brunette in a bright pink suit that hurt my eyes, cooed. “Don’t you think so?” lines like this are also why this book is so GODDAMN LONG. it just kept going. and going. and going. and the suspense element was also much better in the first book because there was actually some action. the suspense (can we even call it that?) in this was so badly done compared to the first book. i think i appreciate ava and alex's story more in that aspect because we actually see it unfold and, like i said, there was actually some action. not only that, but right from the beginning, we're thrown into this "suspenseful" act so we go through the book wondering what's happening (even if you know what it was). with this, there was none of it for me. I'm in shambles. MY MIND IS BLOWN. As we know I've been excited for Christian since Twisted Games and GODDAMN was I not disappointed. I. AM. IN. LOVE. WITH. CHRISTIAN. HARPER. The time jumps was another element that bothered me. Whilst they were necessary to the story, I did not like the way it was handled initially. It interrupted the flow of the story for me. There was no natural progression into the time jump - it was just abrupt and the reader was just expected to go along with it.

It is worth EVERYTHING!!! Even if you may have disliked the first book, definitely give this one a try!! UGH it was just all soooo good and so well written!!! The way they both wanted one another since the beginning.. I was MELTINGGGG!!!! Charming, deadly, and smart enough to hide it, Christian Harper is a monster dressed in the perfectly tailored suits of a gentleman.

Books Multibuys

Twisted Love is my next favourite book. I personally feel that Alex was sometimes a bit too pushy. However, I love how all the couples in each book are different. Alex and Ava's story is complicated and was hard to follow at first. But the ending of the book was possibly the best ending of the series.

Twisted Lies was alright. The story of Stella and Christian was hard to follow. The ending of this story is not like the other three, and that's how I personally feel.I can’t imagine a better duo than a lawyer and a doctor. It’s awesome. They just are there to talk with each other like in the library with Tanya’s death, or at the Picnic trying to get Josh to finally move on with Alex, also when Josh finally went to go see his father and Jules was there for him. That’s all the matters just being there for someone and I think that’s what makes them so good together. And the chemistry between them is fantastic. Anyways I love Josh and Jules 🤍 reading this after joshjules was a mistake and tbh even alexava had a better story/chemistry than bridgetrhys 💀 i felt nothing for them and between them. Please let this be Christian and Stella's story! I fell in love with Christian in Twisted Games so I'm soooooo excited Christian on the other hand is, well… the devil as he calls it. Wouldn’t be much far off I guess. I mean there’s nothing wrong with a morally grey devil who stabbed the hand of the man who groped stella, spilled alcohol on it, then killed him… right 🤗? Ugh the amount of things this man does for stella as if its the most normal thing in the world is entertaining. But when her brother abdicates, she’s suddenly faced with the prospect of a loveless, politically expedient marriage and a throne she never wanted.
