The bench seems pretty sturdy and well built. I don't know how long the padding will last as I haven't had this item for long time but, I can foresee that i could easily replace the padding in the future so I am not worried about that. Each of the exercise programs is suitable for males and females - in fact, the entire family can use the Total Flex™ L, regardless of whether you are fit or unfit. This Bench is amazing. I was skeptical about buying it because I don't trust 'as seen on tv' items. I must say, unless you are a pro body builder, this Home Gym has plenty of resistance for the average guy.I deducted one star because after a month the frame got a bit squeeky. Tightened the bolts and it went away. What i like the most about it is that it is easy to store. It folds flat but it stands up straight so you can pit it behind a door or in a closet instead of only putting it under the bed. It takes no room in my one bedroom apartment.
