About this deal

I'm Sarah and I have joined Katherine as one of your teachers for TinyTalk Mole Valley. I will be teaching in the Horley area. I am mum to Ellie who is two years old. I hold classes in Ilkeston, Morton and Waingroves so why not come along and join the fun with me. They are all held in person in lovely bright rooms with parking.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer good support. However, with such a lightweight program, you won’t face too many hiccups. The simple interface, straightforward features, and ease of use allow you to use the application without much trouble. While there’s a Help section in the app, it’s not too comprehensive and provides you with basic information about creating macros. Our Toddler Talking classes (suitable for the more mobile toddler approx 18mths +) are great fun too with lots of action songs, books, games, even a parachute! We work on speech development as well as listening skills, social skills, co-ordination, sharing and turn taking. Classes are more physical and interactive to suit developing minds. They follow a format to help build toddlers' speech development, confidence and social skills using familiar TinyTalk action songs, stories and props. They will learn a wider range of BSL signs and concepts such as counting and colours through fun language games that make communicating fun.

IMPORTANT!

I know from experience that meeting other parents is the most brilliant and unexpected joy to come from attending classes, I feel blessed to have made lifelong friends that, without a doubt, I couldn’t have got through the challenges of having 2 children under 2 years and a bout of post- natal depression without their love and support. The social time at TinyTalk is a brilliant way of making new friendships as well as creating a space to ask questions, gain support and spend time with other parents, in a friendly and relaxed environment. This was even more beneficial when George arrived, suddenly other baby classes were double the price as I had two children, or they were only age appropriate for one of them. TinyTalk catered for both! George attended his first class at 6 days old and we all still go to Mollie’s classes now. Apart from this, you can carry the file in a USB flash drive, which lets you transfer pre-set configurations of macros without much trouble. Whether you’re working on your PC at home or at work, the portable version is an excellent choice to avoid repetitive tasks. While it is already an excellent time-saving tool, the portable file is the perfect choice for people working on multiple devices or computers. Does it offer good support? with your baby from such a young age, by learning how to sign really is an invaluable skill and at TinyTalk it’s really fun and enjoyable to learn too. I am so excited to now have the opportunity to bring these classes to other families in Hull and East Yorkshire so we can all have fun, make friends and learn signs to help other babies communicate too!

in February 2018, I looked for baby classes to take her to, to meet new mums and help Sadie’s early development, and that’s when I found TinyTalk as they use BSL signs. I have attended TinyTalk baby sign classes with both my girls (some in person and some online) and although their baby sign journeys have been different, by joining in each week and by working with what interested and motivated them, both girls could make 100 signs at 20months old. We love the fact that the classes are a great mix of familiar nursery rhymes and action songs which has encouraged our girls (and me) to learn a range of important signs in a fun and easy way. When Alice signed ‘home’ for the first time I was left wondering when I had taught it to her but when I mentioned it to our lovely teacher, she reminded me that it had been in a couple of songs that we had been singing recently. As I had already signed with Lorna, I started signing to my son, Cameron, as soon as he was focusing on me at a few weeks old. He was just over 5 months old when I began taking him to TinyTalk classes but was signing himself within a month of that. Using signs really benefitted us as a whole family when Sadie was younger, she could easily communicate when she was 'tired', wanted to go to 'bed', as well as communicating when she wanted a 'drink', an 'orange' or a 'biscuit'! Now she is older she regularly signs alongside speaking. It's fascinating to watch. I was soon attending two different sessions – a weekday one for me and Eleanor and a Saturday class twice a month so my husband, parents, in-laws and sisters could come too! For me, it was really important that everyone around us knew some of the signs too so that they could also communicate with Eleanor. The fantastic thing about TinyTalk is that I didn’t have to pay any extra to bring these family members along as it's one price per family, it's incredibly good value!Lightweight data logger for temperature monitoring of goods in transit. Each class includes half an hour of singing, signing and of course...lots of fun ! PLUS half an hour of social time with toys, biscuits and most importantly...caffeine ! (Don't worry, you don't have to drink caffeine, I promise there are other options). I started TinyTalk with Ellie when she was just 10 weeks old. I was a first time mum and Katherine's TinyTalk classes were the first baby class we tried. I love how the classes not only have signing but other aspects including singing and sensory elements. It gave the opportunity for both Ellie and me to learn a new skill as well as a new way for us to communicate. My mum even came to some of the classes too!she wanted before she could speak. At 15 months Hannah had a signing vocabulary of over 50 signs with favourites being milk, more, bird, rain, bath and daddy. Baby signing helped us avoid the frustration babies feel when they try to communicate and we adults are unable to understand them. She could tell me when she was thirsty or hungry or when she was tired. She could even say 'please' when she wanted something! Wonderful!! I started signing to Max when he was just 6 days old, 'milk' and 'bed' were the first signs. He initially watched with great interest and finger wiggling! It was very exciting when he made his first sign 'bed' at 8 months. By the time he was 12 months old he had lots of signs under his belt, 'daddy', 'car', 'stop' and 'food' being his favourites. Baby signing has been such an overwhelmingly positive experience for our family and I am both thrilled and delighted to be bringing TinyTalk classes to the area. Our classes are fun, supportive and educational. We sing, we sign, we play and we chat. I want to share baby signing with as many families as possible and would love to welcome you to a TinyTalk class very soon. In class we teach baby sign using British Sign Language signs. There so many opportunities to communicate with your baby using only a handful of these signs, be they the signs for specific needs, your family members, animals or activities from your daily routine. For our family (including grandparents) signing with our girls has given us a fantastic insight into their mind and developing character well before they can talk. We have enjoyed many days out and shared books at a new and exciting level with them as they have learnt to sign what they can see and hear. Seeing how excited our girls become when they know that they have been understood when signing is utterly priceless, it is an absolute joy. We then moved onto the Baby classes and these have been Matilda's favourite ever since! She loves joining in with the songs and actions, and for me it has been such a joy to watch her learn and grow. Learning the signs has been utterly life changing, no more guessing what she wants as she can sign and tell me! Matilda knows over 50 signs and it still brings me so much joy to see her learn and use each new one.

Whatever age your child(ren) is, I can promise you will both enjoy my classes, just as much as I enjoy teaching them! Also did you know that singing is an amazing way to get the endorphins going and can really help combat post-natal depression. So not only are you and your baby learning an amazing life skill by signing, you are also doing something really positive for you! TinyTask is a straightforward, simple, and easy-to-use application. Unlike complicated programs, this one doesn’t require you to possess technical skills or scripting knowledge. With this lightweight application, you can easily automate tasks on PCs. All you need to do is record the screen, and the app automatically creates a specific macro. You can easily repeat the action anytime. Like MacroMaker, TinyTask comes with a single screen, which features an intuitive and simple interface. How to use the app? I love baby signing because: of the massive positive impact it has had on both of my children’s communication, in very different ways, and because of the amazing skill it has provided all of us as a family. Now at almost 2 she knows over 150 signs. Her current favourites are *door*, *coat* and *all gone* and of course *swings* which she uses multiple times a day to let us know that she wants to go the park. The second half of the class is a social time for parents and babies with toys to play with and hot drinks and refreshments. If it's the only hot drink you have had all week (we’ve all been there!) it makes it all the more special. Our social time is a chance to chat and meet other local parents and realise that perhaps you are not the only one going through some of the trials of parenthood! I have found it really fulfilling to understand him from such an early age. Not only could he communicate to me that he wanted milk, food, a drink, or bed but I also got very early insights into what else he was aware of; he signed 'windy' to me when the trolley was stopped under the air-conditioning unit in a shop, and for months responded to my enquiries about his dirty nappies by signing 'dog'; jokingly trying to shift the blame for the smell!!! I am really excited about getting to know you and your baby and helping you on your baby signing journey. I am sure you will fall in love with Tiny Talk classes as much as I did! Learn baby signing with your little one in a super fun and interactive way and communicate with them before they can talk. My youngest is now just turning 6 years and of course I have signed with her too. At the age of 2, she could sign well over 200 signs and could have a conversation about pretty much anything!
