About this deal

Unfinished Business: The ghosts of the other four assassins were trapped in the world between life and death because their mission to kill Ezran wasn't completed and because Rayla betrayed them. Seeing Rayla alive and without her binding to kill Ezran is enough to convince them that Rayla had completed the mission, their business is finished, and they pass on. Downplayed in that their business only appeared to be finished. Lying to Protect Your Feelings: This plays an important role in the story. Lujanne tells Callum that "White lies are illusions you build with your words to protect the hearts of those you love". He uses this to as a justification to convince Rayla to lie to Lujanne about the moon nexus. Later Rayla uses this as a justification to lie to Callum by agreeing to leave together in the morning, only to sneak off alone in the middle of the night.

Rayla reveals that Sol Regem is the former King of the Dragons, left a bitter and hostile shadow of his former self after being left blind during the wars between humans and magical creatures but not before putting an end to the first dark mage Ziard. The trio attempt to sneak past the ancient dragon, but Zym's fearful whimpers expose their presence. Rayla reluctantly attempts to convince Sol Regem to let them pass, but the attempt fails when the dragon detects dark magic on Callum. The trio manage to outwit Sol Regem and finally make it into Xadia. [20]Since they are now alone, Callum asks if Rayla had stayed up late again, to which she replies that she could not stop herself from worrying over Viren's fate, as they had not found a sign of his body after he had dropped from the pinnacle of the Storm Spire. Despite Callum's attempt to soothe Rayla's mind by saying that Viren is dead for sure, Rayla refuses to move on without proof. Callum's emphasis on the topic of moving on sparks Rayla's hurt about having lost both her parents and Runaan without closure. Once Callum admits that he hates seeing Rayla in this state, she manages to calm down and leans against him, which gives him the opportunity to suggest that they should treat the trip to the Moon Nexus as a vacation, one that Rayla gratefully confirms she needs. Cliffhanger: The comic ends with Rayla leaving on her own to find Viren, and only leaving a note for Callum. Director: Villads Spangsberg; Writers: Devon Giehl & Iain Hendry (September 14, 2018). "Bloodthirsty". The Dragon Prince. Season 1. Episode 4. Netflix. In this, the first graphic novel in a new set of stories continuing where the animated showe has left off, Peter Wartman has taken a story by series co-creator Aaron Ehasz and co-writer Justin Richmond and, with the artistic talents of Xanthe Bouma, given watchers and fans of THE DRAGON PRINCE a story that feels like the natural continuation from the end of season 3. There is no real discussion either in the book, or in the online description that I can find, that specifically states IF the STORY contained here will be part of the series canon --- though with Aaron having written the script for this book odds are good that it will play into season 4 in some form or another.

Through the Moon is the Comic Book Continuation of the animated series The Dragon Prince. It is written by Peter Wartman and illustrated by Xanthe Bouma. Rayla is a master sword-fighter, especially with dual-blades, and is believed to be the fastest and strongest of her fellow assassins despite her young age. [30] Rayla's weapon(s) of choice are a pair of twin blades that reflect her fighting style. These weapons were forged by her foster guardian Ethari, and are capable of switching between lethal blades and curved hooks even in mid-air, allowing her to catch an enemy off-guard. They are based on real-life balisongs or butterfly knives in their way to function. [34] After leaving Lujanne's meditation place, Callum stands at the Moonhenge and crushes his Moon Opal to cast "Historia Viventem", which reveals the spell "Mors Aperta" to him through an image of the past.

But the peace between the humans and elves is fragile. There is still the hard work of forging an alliance and the harder work of undoing millennia of hatred and prejudice. Rayla and Callum are heroes and a symbol of hope for the future. But not everyone desires the future they represent. The most dangerous foes are often those hidden in plain sight. a b Director: Villads Spangsberg; Writer: Devon Giehl & Iain Hendry (February 15, 2019). "Fire and Fury". The Dragon Prince. Season 2. Episode 7. Netflix. Soren and Rayla find a secluded place in the forest, where Rayla asks him what had happened to Ram, Skor, Callisto, and Andromeda, since they had entered the castle after her. [9] Soren informs her that they have all been killed and turned into a magic spell, with exception of Runaan. Though he can not say for sure, he suspects that Viren has killed him as well. Soren suddenly begins to regret not having killed his father at the Storm Spire, [5] as he shares Rayla's worry about not having found a body, considering how easily his father fools others. And at the center of it all, there will be love; lost, found, and forged. Language: English Words: 17,830 Chapters: 6/? The boys are ready to help Rayla adjust to life in Katolis, and Rayla is hopeful that she might find somewhere she belongs with them in the castle. It doesn’t take Callum long, though, to remember all of the ways he feels like he doesn’t quite belong in his role as prince. Rayla fell to her knees crying as she continued to hear Callum tell her that it was all her fault. But deep down she also knew it was true, right? The Dragon Prince has been returned to his rightful place, and all is right with the world...or is it? Rayla is tormented by visions of Lord Viren, and finds herself obsessed with discovering if he's truly dead.
