About this deal

When I read the blurb about 3 women in their 60s setting off on a cruise, I knew I had to read this book, especially as I’m almost there myself. The Cruise is the first book I have read by Caroline James and I can definitely say it won’t be my last. These women decide to embark on a two-week luxury cruise around the Caribbean, leaving behind the heartache, guilt, and disappointment of their real lives. They swap their mundane routines for crystal waters, white sandy beaches, and smooth golden rum. Through their adventures, they discover new friendships, new looks, new confidence, and even new love. The story is an excellent portrayal of friendship, adventure, and love that will undoubtedly leave you feeling fulfilled.

Rosie Amber on #Review: Snowbound With The Brooding Lord by Sarah Mallory @SarahMRomance @MillsandBoon @HarlequinBooks #publicationday #histfic #RegencyRomance #RespectRomFic Swapping Christmas turkeys and BBC reruns for crystal waters, white sandy beaches and smooth golden rum, Anne, Jane and Kath throw caution (and tradition) to the wind as they set sail on a luxury two-week Christmas cruise around the Caribbean. Leaving behind the heartache, guilt and disappointment of their real lives, three friends decide that now they’re in their sixties, it’s time they finally did something for themselves! I rushed through this brilliant story in just over a day and I was on a cruise with 3 ladies in their 60s and I had a brilliant time! Henriette ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I found the characters to be well developed, and multi-dimensional. It’s about being true to yourself, losing you insecurities and making new friends along the way, what a delightful read. A stunning story of friendship, romance, second chances and being true to yourself. I absolutely love, love, LOVED it!! I love Caroline’s style of writing – the humour really is infectious throughout her writing.’ Sarah ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: Snowbound With The Brooding Lord by Sarah Mallory @SarahMRomance @MillsandBoon @HarlequinBooks #publicationday #histfic #RegencyRomance #RespectRomFic Anne on #Review: Snowbound With The Brooding Lord by Sarah Mallory @SarahMRomance @MillsandBoon @HarlequinBooks #publicationday #histfic #RegencyRomance #RespectRomFic

But I think my personal favourite (so far…) might just have been her first book with One More Chapter, The Spa Break – a wonderful fun-filled story of female friendship, and of sheer bravery as each woman took the opportunities and chances they were offered, gained a different perspective on their lives, and realised what they had been missing (you’ll find my full review here– and yes, of course it was one of my 2022 Books of the Year!). Could there be any better way of spending a wet Saturday afternoon than curling up with her latest? What I loved about the book was how skilfully the author portrays each character, allowing us to witness their unique experiences as they journey through the cruise. The minor characters are also very well written, each bringing their own energy and flavour to the story. Selwyn, in particular, stood out as an intriguing character, subtly spreading his late wife’s ashes around the Caribbean as he embraces his newfound freedom. Review: Murder at the Matterhorn by T A Williams @tawilliamsbooks @BoldwoodBooks @rararesources #blogtour #publicationday #BoldwoodBloggers #cosycrime #ArmstrongandOscar #MurderattheMatterhorn November 24, 2023 This book is beautifully written with vivid descriptions and stunning surroundings I was absolutely captivated throughout. The cover and the synopsis work perfectly with the storyline.

Despite being set at Christmas, this novel is the perfect beach read. (After all, it’s always summer in the Caribbean!) It’s substantive enough to be satisfying, and light enough to zip through in a weekend. Great read! Genres covered in this novel include Cruises, Romantic Comedy, Food & Travel Writing, Contemporary Women's Fiction, Aging Parents & Eldercare, Women's Friendship Fiction, Senior Travel, Women's Literary Fiction, Aging, Women's Contemporary Fiction, Love & Relationships, Women's Romance Fiction, Contemporary Lifestyle Fiction, Romance Novel, Travel Guides: Cruises, Contemporary Fiction, Romance Fiction, Humorous Fiction, Friendship Fiction, Literary Fiction and Domestic Fiction amongst others. Review: Single All The Way by Elaine Spires @ElaineSWriter @rararesources #blogtour #SinglesSeries #SingleAllTheWay This book is written in third person perspective and the main protagonists are Jane Bellwood, Anne Amberley and Kath Taylor. The benefits of third person perspective with multiple protagonists are that it let's you see the bigger picture of what's going on and you get to know more characters more, what they are thinking and what they are doing. It feels like you get to see the whole picture and not miss out in anything. Caroline writes quite beautifully - great descriptions, vividly drawn characters, sparkling humour, a touch of real sadness - this book was the perfect escape."

I liked that the author gave each of these women her own story, though Jane’s arc was the most dramatic, and I appreciated that she was able to truly find herself on her voyage. I also liked the way the friendship between all three women was depicted. Too often women in novels are catty to each other. These women tease each other but are also supportive, which is how the best friendships should be. Review: Murder at the Matterhorn by T A Williams @tawilliamsbooks @BoldwoodBooks @rararesources #blogtour #publicationday #BoldwoodBloggers #cosycrime #ArmstrongandOscar #MurderattheMatterhorn Oh my word …I couldn't put this down it was so good, following the adventures of Anne, Kath and Jane was brilliant and happy endings throughout’⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: Welcome to the Cornish Country Hospital by Jo Bartlett @J_B_Writer @BoldwoodBooks @rararesources #blogtour #publicationday #BoldwoodBloggers #womensfiction #romance #RespectRomFic I would recommend this book to the fans of the above as well as fans of ReaAnne Thayne, Debbie Macomber, Sarah Morgan, Milly Johnson, Jenny Colgan, Robyn Carr, Cecilia Ahern and anyone needing a gorgeous break away.
