Young Writers invited primary school pupils between the age of 5-11, to be part of their latest poetry competition. They have been running competitions with primary schools across the UK to promote poetry and creative writing since 1991, with the aim of inspiring children everywhere to become confident and passionate writers. Lexi’s auntie Lisa-Marie Edwards said: “We are over the moon with this achievement and the positive light it shines on Lexi, her school and Bangor itself.” The online resources offer 4 x idea generation activities, a word bank and lesson plan. The student info guide, video, and graphic organizer also make this a great independent learning activity. There's a PowerPoint presentation or use the Google Slide version instead! Lexi has lived her whole life in Bangor, as well as 5 generations previously. She is very proud of her hometown and often worries about the effect of the amount of litter that’s always around. She is passionate about learning, gymnastics and Tik Tok!
