About this deal

The following games are unsuitable for the Switch Lite:1-2 Switch, Super Mario Party, and Nintendo Labo accessory kits. While games which require Rumble could be played with Joy-Cons attached, we found that trying to play with more than one person on the Lite's small screen isn't exactly practical - so we wouldn't advise trying to take on party games as the device wasn't built for this. Not being able to play games on your TV is really going to hurt when you fire up gorgeous classics like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Witcher 3 or Super Mario Odyssey. These are titles that are much more enjoyable on the big screen at home. The screen on the Switch light measures 5.5 inches across compared to 6.2 inches on the full-sized Nintendo Switch - both display a 720p resolution.

Please note: There is a newer version of the Nintendo Switch out under the name of Nintendo Switch (OLED Model). Of course, it's not a redesign of this Lite version as it just makes slight enhancements to the original design, but the OLED panel and the adjustable stand that version features might convince some shoppers to gravitate towards it. Nintendo Switch LiteFor example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for roughly four hours on a single charge. Please note: the values have been rounded off to the nearest full value. There also may be some statistical variations on the energy consumption values displayed. The values could also change depending on the usage environment and conditions. The screens are also nearly identical, though the Switch's screen is larger. The Switch features a 6.2-inch LCD, while the Switch Lite has a smaller 5.5-inch LCD. Both are touch screens with 720p resolution, and get similarly bright and colorful. Battery Life

Nintendo Switch is designed to go wherever you go, transforming from home console to handheld gaming system. So you can play the games you love, however and whenever you like. If you’re dedicated to gaming on the go, there’s a Nintendo Switch bundle for that too. The Nintendo Switch Lite is compact, lightweight and just right for taking out and about. Whether you’re playing outside, travelling, or joining in with friends and family playing on a flagship Nintendo Switch console, the Nintendo Switch Lite has handheld gaming covered. In addition, the Switch Lite comes with integrated controls rather than Joy-Cons. While you can connect up to four separate Joy-Cons wirelessly, you won't get an additional pair out of the box with the Lite. The ZL and ZR triggers feel perfect and help cement that snug fit. However, the L and R buttons are thinner than on the original Switch. Arguably a bit too thin, as we sometimes found our fingers slipping off them. Both models also allow wireless connectivity, Bluetooth headphones, and MicroSD cards to increase the 32GB internal storage. Battery life can last for more than six hours, but will vary depending on the software and usage conditions.Grow your Nintendo Switch games library with new adventures. Make your island home in Animal Crossing, race with Mario and build with Minecraft. Kids can explore expansive worlds in Legend of Zelda and catch ‘em all with the latest games from Pokémon. From active games to immersive stories, there’s something for every gamer on Nintendo Switch. If you’re looking to play the most popular Nintendo games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can’t go wrong with either system. What’s the difference in size and screen size? Nintendo’s continued building upon the Switch since the Lite's launch. Alongside the Nintendo Switch OLED launch, it's also seen continued system updates. The most popular brands for Nintendo continue to be the Super Mario series, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda and FIFA. The main difference between the Nintendo Switch Lite and the original Nintendo Switch is that the Switch Lite is solely a handheld device. Therefore, the Switch Lite is much more compact and lighter than its predecessor. That comparison also applies to the Nintendo Switch OLED, which is slightly larger than the original Switch. Firstly, this is MOST IMPORTANT - The Nintendo Switch Lite is technically not weaker than the standard model. The processor and memory equipment is just as good - and even more energy-efficient. This means about 30 minutes more battery life compared to the original. Compared to the new 2019 version, however, there is no such advantage. The display has shrunk by 0.7 inches to 5.5 inches, so it's even a little smaller than current phones. In addition to the TV output, the vibration function of the controller and the infrared camera for motion capture have also been left out. As a result, not all games are compatible with the Lite, but only those that explicitly support handheld mode. This is the majority, but titles like Super Mario Party, the Just Dance series and 1-2 Switch are missing. Changed HandlingPlease note: the internal battery cannot be removed. If the battery needs to be replaced, it can be replaced for a fee via Nintendo Customer Support. So far, we haven't seen any Nintendo Switch Lite bundles that offer these controllers with it but if we hear of any you can bet they'll be right here. Why is the Nintendo Switch Lite cheaper? Looking for advice on how to connect Nintendo Switch to your TV? After some recommendations for Nintendo Switch SD cards? We've got you covered. At a hands-on preview event, a Nintendo representative explained that the console would be compatible with more devices than just the Joy-Cons, but what exactly would not be revealed until a later date. The Switch Lite measures 91.1mm x 208mm x 13.9mm and weighs 275g, compared to the 102mm x 239mm x 13.9mm dimensions and 297g weight of the original Switch. This means the device comes with a smaller LCD touch screen, measuring just 5.5 inches but still providing 1280 x 720 pixels.
