Now for those not familiar with what kedgeree is its 2 main components are smoked fish and rice: in this case kippers. It’s recommended, for good reason, to be eaten at room temperature. What’s not recommended is to incinerate it in a microwave at 200 degrees celsius, in a small room adjacent to the narrow corridors of a primary school. I believe in embracing our mistakes and embarrassments, we create space for growth, empathy, and connection. In this spirit I’m sharing my own mistakes and lessons I've learned. The next morning I got washed, dressed, bagged up the kedgeree and left for the school. At this stage of my placement I had still yet to lead a lesson in the class and had been working with small groups, primarily helping them with their Maths and English. During that morning the teacher took me aside and told me that the following week I was to take on 50% of the classes for the next 6 weeks, designing and teaching the English, Science and Maths curriculum. As the bell rang for lunch, I left the classroomin a mild panic, thinking about how I was going to plan 6 weeks’ worth of lessons over the coming weekend. I absent mindedly headed to the staff room to retrieve the kedgeree. These three achievements refer to the Iron Throne, a large throne in the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire made from many swords fused together with dragonfire. The scornful Captain Edmund B also recalled playing football against the German troops during the famous Christmas truce of 1914, saying: “Both sides advanced further during one Christmas booze-up than they did in the next two and a half years of war.”
Solaris is a 1961 philosophical sci-fi novel written by Stanisław Lem, and a Unix-based computer operating system. However there is always the upside, my family laughing and joking about my Dad being a secret agent like 007 or the presents we get, just recently Mum got a real Kangaroo fur bag, I got an Australian hat, and my brother got some Kangaroo jerky, which is apparently tasty. And the upside for Dad is, he has traveled the world, he’s in america for two weeks and he’s travelling around so much, he’s also met the worlds tallest man, who unfortunately was only half a tall man on the picture my Dad has, as my Dad is quite a short-ass!

The German base scene was filmed at RAF Northolt, and the medieval scenes were filmed at Newark Priory. Honesty and candour are the values I hold most important in fostering positive relationships and that includes owning up to my mistakes. It would be a few years later until I would truly open myself up to admitting my mistakes, but now it underpins my approach to life and work. Mishaps occur, that’s fine, it’s what you do next and what you learn from them that matters. Hopefully that means that my relationships, unlike that fated lunch, won’t turn into a smoking kipper!

Deb Lister seduced Ace, and they slept together, intending to get him pregnant. Deb soon found that instead of Ace getting pregnant, she had become pregnant instead. Ace left in his ship for new adventures. ( Ace Rimmer Space Adventurer) Throughout my PGCE course I lived at my dad’s house. It was roughly one hours drive from the school, so I tended to leave early in the morning and arrive home early evening. When at home I spent most of the time in my room working on my coursework. I only really saw my dad during dinner and he did a fantastic job of keeping me fed and watered over the course of that year. As per a typical evening, he shouted up to me that my dinner was ready, and I headed downstairs. It was already on the table, kedgeree. Not really my choice of dinner, but I was just happy to be fed. It became a regular sound drop on the radio program Opie and Anthony, where Norton was third mic. All in all, my whole family misses my Dad, and we wait everyday to hear from him, either for him to tell us he is taking off, landing, just ringing for a chin-wag, or to tell us how long it is till he’s home, I’m not only counting down for my holiday, but I’m counting down for my Dad to be home, always. The jettisoning of the studio audience saw the actors playing to an invisible crowd while their characters either reverted to one dimension or resorted to navel-gazing that strove for poignancy but palled into dullness. Series eight was even worse, abandoning the idea of Lister and co being alone in space and resurrecting the entire crew for a conventional sitcom with an overreliance on bad CGI.
