Our new colour-changing sand & water table has been thoughtfully designed with several convenient features. The deep exploration area is perfect for the open-ended tactile investigation of materials and their properties, with the additional visual sensory element of light and colour. Ideal for individual focused activities or collaborative play. Our colour-changing Discovery Table has a raised rim to the outside edge, creating an enticing area for learning through play and sensory exploration. The LED unit has been optimised so the light floods the whole area of the internal well evenly, emitting a soft clean glow which changes colour using the remote control. The overall height of the unit allows younger children to reach the bottom of the exploration area with ease, allowing them to engage in messy play: using hands to explore a range of liquid or solid materials such as sand, craft clay, play dough, flour, jelly, foam, dried pasta or rice. This Sensory Mood Water Table is an absolute treat for children because of the wealth of learning opportunities it provides. The table comes with a safe low voltage 5V DC unit thereby providing between 5 – 10 hours of light. With an 8-hour charge cycle the light well can be used both inside or outdoors. The unit is water resistant rated IP65 and comes with an A+ energy rating.
An 8-hour charge cycle will provide an average of 5-10 hours of light (depending on program setting).The table is powered by a safe low voltage mains power supply. It has a 6 hour charge cycle providing an average of 10 hours of light. Water resistant rated IP65 and tested up to 80Kg of load. By using the remote control you can choose one of 16 different colours or set to fade smoothly through the entire spectrum of shades. These range from a cool ultra-violet through to a warm red. The appearance is mesmeric because the colour spreads evenly throughout the whole shape. Providing a soft coloured or white light which is adjusted using the remote control, the discovery area can be used for sorting and arranging objects, exploring different materials and substances (liquid, sand, jelly, foam) and makes the ideal base for imaginative small world play activities.
