About this deal

This is one of the only worries I have for the luggage. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s well built, well designed, and clearly the Samsonite luggage quality you can expect… BUT. As the luggage looks like something that could be described as ‘hard shell’, I wasn’t expecting the amount of flexibility and the thin material that’s being used… to be so thin! But that being said, it might be a lot more durable than the first impressions I got. And honestly I’d expect it to be as it’s a Samsonite luggage. BUT… It just feels so thin that I have my doubts – for now at least. We have three ways for you to personalise your large suitcase. You can engrave or emboss your suitcase, or you can add a personalised luggage label to your suitcase.

This is an unusual design feature on hard sided luggage, an expandable section. It is a welcome addition and very useful too. The case expands by 3 cm. And finally; not to sound like a Samsonite salesperson… but this is from my personal experiences: A good luggage is one of those things it’s worth to pay a bit more to get a proper one, rather than struggle with cheaper options and keep replacing them when they fall apart, making the cheaper ones the more expensive choice in the long run and your life that much more miserable. Most of the extra large suitcases are hardside spinners (4 wheels). When travelling with an oversized suitcase, it makes sense that you slide your heavy luggage beside you, rather than having to drag it behind you the whole time. Hardside luggage has the advantage that it's not susceptible to fabric tears and it's more water resistant when walking in the rain. For the digital nomads amongst us, it will also provide better protection for your tablet, laptop or any other electronic device. The Samsonite Prodigy review should be the easiest review I ever write. We all know the quality and reputation of Samsonite…and for good reason. They are fantastic. The other advantage of polycarbonate over other materials is the texture. The finish on the Samsonite Prodigy is beautiful, not only to look at but also to touch. It is a really classy design and really delivers a business class finish. The Samsonite build was excellent as expected and it has a reputable warranty that delivers too. That alone is worth paying a little extra for.

The handle set up is pretty standard on this suitcase. One at the top and a helpful one on the side too. They are strong and well made. However, the people have spoken…they asked and I delivered. Here is my in-depth Samsonite Prodigy carry on review. You also have the option of using the expansion which gives you an extra 3 cm and 7 liters of space. Handle

The Art Of Packing

The things that make Samsonite stand out from their competition is their attention to detail. They excel at it and this suitcase is no different. Everything seems to have been thought through down to the last screw. Genuinely, it fits together like a laser cut jigsaw. So, this concludes the Samsonite Prodigy review. I hope you found it useful and helps inform your buying decision.

I guess you can see that I really like this suitcase. I always try and be objective when writing a review but sometimes some products are good and you just want to tell everybody.

There is no exact science to this but you get that ‘feeling’ when you are using it. I have to say that I genuinely enjoyed travelling with my Samsonite Prodigy. Extra large suitcases are just as personalisable as any other suitcase size. Whether you want to engrave, emboss or add a personalised luggage tag to your suitcase, we have the best option for you.
