Vintage Single Quinta are even more similar in style to Vintage except that they originate from a single estate (called a quinta), whereas Vintage Port can be sourced from a variety of quintas.

Tawny ports are paler brown or amber in colour, with a more mellow taste. That typically comes from a longer period ageing in wood, which can impart distinct flavours of dried fruit and nuts. Each bottle of port contains several different types of grape and may even be from several different vineyards! Ruby Cabernet is a red Olmo grape variety that is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignan. It can produce wines with good colour and a pleasant cherry flavour, but is mostly blended into bulk wines. [1] Late Bottled Vintage (LBV): As the name indicates, the LBVs are bottled later than the Vintages. After four to six years in wooden vats, they may mature in the bottle, in which case they can be labelled as Bottle Aged or Bottle Matured. Those labeled as Unfiltered were not filtered before bottling. This type of Port is a dense, full-bodied wine.

Ruby port is the youngest of all the port options. It’s bottled and sold to drink right after the initial 18-month aging cycle. It usually carries flavors of red fruits like cherry, raspberry, and plum, with some variations showing hints of chocolate, spice, or floral notes.
