About this deal

Number of Ethernet Ports : Five (5) 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports + one (1) 5G/2.5G/1Gbps Multi-Gig port (configurable). 1 WAN & 4 LAN. Dual Gigabit Ethernet Port Aggregation. 5G/2.5G/1G Multi-Gig Ethernet LAN port Combined all together, you'll get a total bandwidth of 11000Mbps, which is the same as the RAX200 (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 5GHz). Model The Netgear RAXE500 Nighthawk AXE11000's ports. Note the 2.5bps LAN/WAN port and the ability for both WAN and LAN link aggregation. And the router did well with Wi-Fi 5 clients, too, averaging between almost 600Mbps and faster than 700Mbps at up to 40 feet. So in all, the RAX200 seems to have almost nothing better than the RAX120 and a few things worse. But in real-world usage, it turns out to be a better router, for the most part, thanks to its excellent performance. Netgear RAX200: Fast speeds, reliable signals, excellent range

The RAX200 is more of an actual Wi-Fi 6 router supporting the true 160MHz channel width. The RAX120 is somewhat a compatible Wi-Fi 6 router — its 160MHz channel combines two 80MHz channels (80+80). Getting over 1.2gb down every single time, with the same pings I always had in my home regardless of which router I had. 12 most of the time, sometimes 11. Super stable! I’m using the PCE-AX58BT. Plus I don't currently have any wireless AX devices so the only benefit I get is from wireless AX is its concurrent broadcasting. The Netgear Orbi Quad-Band WiFi 6E may only be suitable for very large homes with 6E supporting devices. It's very expensive, which means you absolutely do need to fully utilize all that speed and Wi-Fi prowess. However, it's well worth the money if it's exactly what your space needs, providing incredible performance, giving us maximum Wi-Fi speeds throughout our space during testing. Ethernet Ports : Five (5) 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports + one (1) 2.5G/1Gbps multi-Gig port (configurable). LAN: 4xGbE (2x port aggregation LAN) + 2.5G/1Gbps multi-Gig port (configurable). WAN: 1 GbE or 2.5G/1Gbps multi-Gig port (configurable). Multi-Gig: Ability to aggregate two Gigabit LAN ports and two Gigabit WAN ports (configurable) concurrently. I'm happy to report that the Netgear RAXE500's 6GHz band did excellently. The router topped the chart of the current three Wi-Fi 6E routers on the market. Currently I renovate my apartment. So I have no time to add minimal support to OpenWrt for the RAX200 by my own. At first the WiFi signal icon on windows was missing one little bar, but as soon as I connected all the bars were showing. But then again I just reseted my network on windows, maybe was a little glitch.

I tested the RAX200’s network-attached storage feature by connecting a Samsung T5 to one of its USB 3.0 ports. Because Wi-Fi 6 is a new wireless technology, we have to do things a bit differently. Still, doing so is very similar to testing non-Wi-Fi 6 routers, and we take it just as seriously as we do the other. Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n, IEEE 802.11ac, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6)But even then, the Nighthawk AXE11000 still didn't have much more to shine in my testing than did the Asus GT-AXE11000 a few months ago. That's because the way I test Wi-Fi requires a "real" (Windows) computer. On the 2.4GHz band, which had the long-range but crazy low speed -- this band caps at 40MHz channel bandwidth for all Wi-Fi 6 routers -- the Nighthawk RAXE500 did well, too. It wasn't the fastest but well above the average. Excellent range, a bit fluctuation on reliability

After using the Armor web portal, I found that this was because the system was pulling data from my old Orbi RBK50 system, which was a little confusing! The Netgear RAX200’s web user interface is self-explanatory, but it doesn’t allow deep Wi-Fi customization. 2.5G vs. 5G network portsI worked with the Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 for more than a month, and I had to wait till I got Windows 10 machines up and running with the Intel AX210 chips running the latest "cheat" official driver to finish the testing. Happily, the RAXE500 has a switch for turning off the dozen LEDs that light up when the router is operating, although this can also be done in the router’s software. There are activity lights for power, Internet and its three data bands as well as its wired Ethernet ports and the two USB connections. Netgear Nighthawk RAXE500 review: Performance I got a TP-Link AC1750 to get by hahaha. This thing is absolutely terrible, way worse than my old R6250. Reply

In late December 2021, I realized that Netgear had been quietly and retrospectively removing major features from its existing Nighthawk and Orbi devices via firmware updates, effectively reducing the hardware's capability. The figures above are impressive. They show an outstanding router antenna design that holds the signal out to the limits of the 5MHz band. Most importantly, I could connect to the 5GHz from almost everywhere within a house of some 2000 ft 2 (186 m 2) but couldn't do so consistently with the 6GHz. In fact, most outer parts of the house had zero 6GHz signal. Sharing : Readyshare ® USB access -- wirelessly access & share USB hard drive via two (2) USB ports
