When Rapunzel realizes who she really is and tries to leave the tower, Gothel ties her up and prepares to drag her away to an unknown location after stabbing Flynn, who mounts a dramatic rescue but is ambushed. Rapunzel would have gone with Gothel willingly if allowed to save Flynn, resigned to spending her life with her.
