It will be collocated with another big tech event: Big Data & AI Paris (12th edition, 17,000 attendees). The panel were clear that international community needs to participate in the development of standards to ensure the best possible outcome and take advantage of common approaches. Governments, regulators and businesses need to work together to set standards that work for the industry and do not stifle its growth. New standards groups within classic computing may need to come together for standards specific to Quantum computing including the development of software tools for running software on QC hardware. The idea of regulatory/technology diplomacy – like minded nations to come together to outline the key positions in international regulation- emerged. The IEEE Quantum Week 2023 conference — the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE) — will be held as an in-person event with virtual participation on September 17–22, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington.As the speakers are powered up, the hidden RGB lighting comes to life illuminating the 2.5″ woofers along with the forward-facing buttons and volume dial as well as the sides of each of the speakers. While I appreciate some people such as fellow Thumb Culturist Stu N love RGB and can’t get enough of it, thankfully the brightness can be altered and even switched off if required at the press of a button. A hybrid conference, the first day is dedicated to the quantum research community to discuss their research and advancements in quantum technologies. The second day, meanwhile, will be focused on the business side of quantum technologies to bring governmental institutions, investors, startups and end users while the third day is dedicated to all the stakeholders in the quantum ecosystem: government, academia, industry, startups, and the general public. 11. Optica Quantum 2.0 Conference and Exhibition The event will empower attendees to evaluate if and when they should invest in quantum technologies. The event in 2023’s includes expert speakers who will discuss where quantum outperforms classical computing and will offer a balanced view of the technology’s advantages. 9. Giuseppe Compagno, got his degree in Physics (cum Laude) at the University of Palermo where he is currently Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics. Initially his research was in X-ray Astrophysics (at American Science and Engineering (ASE) of Cambridge, Mass. directed by R. Giacconi). Then, he worked in Quantum Optics (dynamics of coherent states of matter and radiation in interaction and resonance fluorescence) and Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) where developed the theory of atoms dressed by vacuum fluctuations. He is co-author of the book: “Atom Field Interactions and Dressed Atoms”, Cambridge University Press (1995). He has also worked on the problem of measurement, localization and causality in QED and Quantum Field Theory. Successively he focused on the decoherence of matter-radiation interaction, showing the revivals of entanglement in systems within non-Markovian environments. Recently he has developed a non-standard approach to deal with identical particles end their entanglement.

This conference will be an annual event with venues rotating between the Nordic countries. The first event, IQT Nordics 2023, will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from June 6th to 8th. In 2024, the conference will be held in Helsinki, Finland.
Professor Braunstein received a prestigious Royal Society-Wolfson Research Merit Award. He was awarded the honorary title of 2001 Lord Kelvin Lecturer and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Institute of Physics and the Optical Society of America. Before joining the University of York, he held a Humboldt Fellowship (spent at the University of Ulm). Andreas Winter received a Diploma degree in Mathematics from Freie Universität Berlin, Berlin, Germany, in 1997, and a Dr. math. degree from the Fakultät für Mathematik, Bielefeld University, Germany, in 1999. He was Research Associate at Bielefeld University, and from 2001 with the Department of Computer Science at University of Bristol, UK In 2003, still with University of Bristol, he was appointed Lecturer in Mathematics, and in 2006 Professor of Physics of Information. Since 2012 he is ICREA Research Professor with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. He is the recipient of a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award (2007), a Philip Leverhulme Prize (2009) and the Whitehead Prize of the London Mathematical Society (2012). A special session midweek will be devoted to charting the future of the field. The organizers hope that this conference will stimulate interactions across disciplines and unveil new connections between seemingly disparate aspects of physics. 15. IEEE Quantum Week 2023 The American Physical Society’s March meeting, is an in-person event on March 5–10, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
