In this segment, we want to analyze the critical factors that you should consider when buying a Deebot robot vacuum. We will then see how the top models fair on each aspect and, after that, give our winner.
Oh, maybe it runs Windows... I turned it off (full power down, turned it on again after ten minutes) and it lives! Not the most reliable but at least it works again. This thing is hard work, I won't buy one again. A great feature was that the robot vacuum switched off the side brushes when driving around obstacles. That way, the mobile phone charging cable, for example, can’t get caught by the side brush.When taking a look at the bottom side of the Deebot OZMO 950, we see the usual additions: Sensors, rollers, side brushes and main brush in their designated places. Here, the cleaning results’ differences were also very similar with all three models (Deebot OZMO 950 vs T8 AIVI vs T8).
Their robot vacuum has been specially designed to clean carpets, and it’s to say that it directly challenges the Roomba S9+. It is now 14 months and it becomes unreliable - when start clean, the saved map was loaded. But after selected & started area clean, the robot lost the map and then it starts building a new floor map. Today it is the third times we had experienced this worst issue. Fortunately we found it and stopped the process of new map building to avoid wasting several hours for the new floor map. The saved floor map is still stored in the cloud server but it can not be reloaded by the robot. The possible real issue is that either the bad robot communication software design or the unreliable cloud server for the data loading. To resolve this we have to reboot the robot and wasting hours to retry loading the saved floor map!!! As I mentioned in this review, Deebot is a budding brand that’s trying to assert its position in the market. But, unfortunately, this means that it faces very stiff competition from the other brands. Advantage: The auto-empty station is cheaper if you buy it in the bundle than if you’d buy the robot vacuum and the self-emptying dustbin separately. You can also set the robot to map different areas -- for example, an upstairs zone, and a different zone for downstairs. Maps are saved in the app. In use, the robot is quiet -- even when on max suction. It does not bump into walls and efficiently cleans the area.
If you are on a tight budget, these two Chinese models are the best. They offer very cheap and reliable robot vacuums. One thing that makes them similar is that they both have a mopping function. Choosing the best brand between ILIFE and ECOVACS is easy, as Deebot now produces more smart robots on the market. But then, with the advancements in the app functions, you may want some features exclusive to the high-end models. The Deebot X1 Turbo and T10 OMNI so far have the best features. These include digital boundaries, AIVI Technology, Area Mode, and Custom Mode, among others. 6. Navigation & maneuverability
