About this deal

Written by none other than the illustrious revolutionary Che Guevara during his early adult life, this book is more of a memoir than a diary as the title suggests. In this book, Guevara and a friend, Alberto Granado, set out to explore the whole of South America on motorcycles. It was during this journey and after witnessing all the social injustices (the exploitation of the poor peasants and laborers, the segregation of lepers as well as of the ethnic minorities, and the branding of social reformers as communists) that Guevara galvanized his belief in revolution and the unification of South America. This book covers all the bike families like those of sid-valve machines, the overhead-valve performance bikes, the Airheads and Oilheads of the postwar, the four and six-cylinder touring bikes, and others. All in all, this book handily encapsulates a century of motorcycling evolution and excellence. It also showcases the relentless quest of BMW for perfecting the motorbike. Motorcycle Tuning – Chassis by John Robinson This is a great book for the racers, as the focus really is making motorcycles go fast around corners. If you have a race bike, or are building one, I’d recommend you add it to your collection. If you want to see the classic bikes of BMW, this book is definitely the best book to buy. The classic bikes portrayed in this book range from pre-World War II BMWs to the present. It includes the R5, the military R12, the R75M, the R69S, and many more. The book was originally titled Diarios Motocicleta and was first published in Cuba and was later translated into English by Alexandra Keeble entitled The Motorcycle Diaries: Notes on a Latin American Journey. This book edition was published by Ocean Press and Che Guevara Studies Center in Havana, Cuba in 2003, and it included an introduction by a renowned Latin American poet, Cintio Vintier, and a preface by Guevara’s daughter, Aleida Guevara March.

Fully updated to include the latest models from around the world and cutting-edge innovations, this new edition features over 1,000 must-see machines, with models from ACE to Zündapp. It is the ideal read for motorcycle and motorsport enthusiasts, whether they're a biker themselves or an armchair devotee. Jupiter’s Travels was first published in 1979 and has ever since been considered as a very influential book. Since the first appearance of the book, many people have been inspired by it, including well-known celebrities such as Ewan McGregor (young Obi Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars franchise). We’ll see a book by McGregor next. Other celebrities were inspired to document their adventures on film. Any rider should have a book like this in their library! This practical maintenance guide covers all brands, styles, makes, and models of motorcycles and features easy-to-follow instructions of even complex tasks. This book is designed to help all riders learn how to fix, and maintain, their motorcycle.A Psychologist Explains the Motorcyclist’s Mind and the Love Affair between Rider, Bike, and Road.” Why We Ride is one of the most unique motorcycle books you can buy. In it, Dr. Barns explores both sports psychology and psychoanalysis of the riding experience. A master storyteller, Dr. Barns uses his 20+ years of experience as a columnist for Motorcycle Consumer News to create compelling stories and helpful insights. It has super detailed explanations of the components and their functions in motorcycle fuel systems. If you are fiddling with carburetors on your motorcycle, it’s invaluable. Again, if you can find a school to teach you this material, then skip the book. Otherwise, it’s a very useful reference—especially if you are working on a bunch of different bikes and need to learn about different fuel systems. I’d still consider it an essential reference, since any custom bike will require some electrical modification. Heaps of condensed info for a relatively small outlay.
