Running between the house and Crag Path is a large south facing patio style garden; simply a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the sea air, surrounded by sea holly and whispering grasses. A table with a couple of benches and two carvers give you a choice of places to sit. Guests will be able to park on roads close by; directly outside the house is restricted but convenient for a couple of hours or overnight, and there’s unrestricted parking near the White Lion Hotel. One of the great things about Necrons is that the rank and file don’t have much colour to worry about – your typical Necron Warrior tends to be mostly grey/silver with the focal point of the model being the stonking great big raygun they carry. The more elite they are, the more colours you’ll want to smoosh on there so to be a bit more comprehensive I’ve gone with some Necron Triach Praetorians. The decision to list these specific vehicles was made because they are all known for their unique characteristics and Moot Green can enhance those features. This color can be used to create a variety of effects, from natural and organic to ancient and weathered, depending on the vehicle and the specific models being painted. For the yellow cables I started with a brown base coat to provide a really stark contrast against the highlighted sections, otherwise I find cables can look like they have not even been highlighted from a distance. The Necrons are primarily viewed as antagonists in 40k fiction, and have very little personality in those early pieces of fiction owing to how they were positioned. There’s been more recently, but it’s still tough to find a book with Necrons where they get to be more than enemies.
Wide carpeted stairs rise from the half landing to another landing where there's a chair inviting you to stop and enjoy the views of the boating pond, Moot Hall, and the shingle beach. I didn’t have time to run to the store, so I turned to the trusty old internet for help. And let me tell you, the internet did not disappoint. I found this crazy chart that listed all the known equivalents for different paint colors. Once the models are ready to be painted, the first step is to work out what’s getting a metallic treatment, and which parts of the model are “Canoptek stuff” and get the green stone treatment. Here there are distinct design differences to the last segment of the legs that fit the latter, so that’s where I decided to make the split. My recipe for energy weapons is also a modified version of the same.At the front of the house is the light and airy kitchen with dining table by the double doors in the bay; the master bedroom which also has double doors to the garden and the single with sea views and desk for those needing to do a spot of work!
