About this deal

We won’t bore you too much with the tech specs, so see the table below for all the information you need to know about peak power, CFM, etc. Construction: As I've mentioned above, these electric air dusters are quite strong and they should be treated with the respect you would give to any other power tool. They are technically loud enough to warrant ear protection during extended use and should not be used around pets or children under the age of 5. Unlike traditional canned air blowers, it features greener power that is more eco-friendly than alternate options on the market. Its green energy source means the ED-500 is more effective and cost-efficient when compared to other models. This anti-static dusting system Includes a 3 conductor grounded power supply cord and a grounding anti-static wrist strap that is carefully designed to minimize cling and maximize equipment efficiency.

The MetroVac DataVac® Electric Duster® is available at 220/240 volts and comes with an air-pin pointer, concentrator nozzle, air-flare nozzle and a four-piece detailing tool kit. Choose EURO, UK, or AU cord. Includes an assortment of ESD Safe/Anti-Static attachments to help keep your electronic office equipment clean and efficient: a crevice tool, dusting brush and more to remove office dust from every angle imaginable. Another thing to keep in mind is that the filter will need to be replaced given enough use and time. This isn’t a major problem as the filters are very cheap and you can even clean them a bit to get a bit more life out of them. MetroVac also sells a whole load of other spares as well, from new handles, nozzles and more. Conclusion – Should You Buy the DataVac ED-500-ESD?You also don’t have to worry about liquid coming out of the nozzle or shaking it up like you do with compressed air, so that’s another bonus. There really isn’t much else to say when it comes to the comparison, the DataVac is just that much better. Is the DataVac ED-500-ESD Reliable? The heart of the DataVac ESD is its .75 horsepower motor and arguably one of its biggest selling points is its anti-static dusting system and grounding. This is important because static electricity can be a problem when cleaning inside of a computer and other electrical components. DataVac ED-500 vs ED-500-ESD vs ED-500-ESDV? While compressed air products are a lot less damaging to the environment then they used to be due to the banning of CFCs (CHLOROFLUOROCARBONS), they can still be bad for the environment. This is because they still use propellants such as tetrafluoroethane (HFC-143a) which is considered a potent greenhouse gas. Besides cleaning your computer and keyboard, you can also use an electric duster in other places around your house. From cleaning your blinds to blowing out the filters of the best air purifiers, it’s really quite a versatile tool. I also often find myself using my electric duster in my garage for cleaning tools and anything else that may be covered in grime or dirt. In fact, you can even use it in your car to get those hard-to-reach places clean.

Speaking of plastics, the ED500-ESD comes with a concentrator nozzle, an air-flare nozzle, an air-pin pointer, and an added dust brush nozzle. As previously mentioned, these are made from ESD-safe plastics that do not hold or dissipate any static electricity. The X3 Hurricane’s built-in battery allows it to run at full power for up to 15 minutes. Combine this with its compact form factor and a set of five straw-shaped detachable nozzles and it simply doesn’t get easier to clean your PC. The attachment selection doesn’t support uses beyond cleaning electronics but this is where the X3 shines anyway. The CompuCleaner Original 2 is the latest edition to the bestselling CompuCleaner electric air duster range. This freshly updated model features a new innovative internal layout and motor assembly to further maximise output and reduce weight. These design changes have tuned the already powerful CompuCleaner Original into an even more effective cleaning machine. It has a built-in air filter that removes particulate matter from the incoming air and a variable power control that allows you to control the power of the airstream, making it easy to go light on delicate fans and CPUs. This also makes it easy to regulate the two unavoidable side effects of noise and heat. The X3 Hurricane produces plenty of both. Worst of all, cans of compressed air are single-use and have to be specially recycled because they are made from steel. Never mind the fact that when you are using them, you are literally expelling greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Not cool. This electric duster is still guaranteed to last, though. In fact, Canless Air (the company that makes the X3) guarantees a lifetime warranty on this product. This is great because Li-ion batteries don’t last forever and that would otherwise limit the lifespan of this product. To that point, though, the battery in the X3 can last beyond 750 power cycles and only takes about 4 to 6 hours to recharge.

The ED500P is a totally capable electric duster, which is almost powerful enough to do yard work. But this is not without its downsides. The first one you will notice is that the DataVac is quite loud. It is easily as loud as a Shop-Vac and if you plan to do some serious cleaning projects with it, you may want to consider ear protection. The other side effect is that this device runs hot after a few minutes of use. Thankfully, the sturdy plastic handle mitigates any discomfort that this may cause while you are using it, though you should still avoid touching its all-steel frame when you use it. Hopefully, you are reading this post because you already understand the importance of keeping your expensive electronics dust-free, especially those with ventilation fans. If, however, you still have doubts about whether or not dusting your PC is essential, I am here to assure you that it is. The ED500-ESD has a powerful 500-Watt motor and the same 0.75 horsepower rating for its ability to push air out. This device basically sets the bar for what to look for out of an electric air duster. Unfortunately, that also means that the ED500-ESD is quite loud. You shouldn’t use this electric duster around pets or children under the age of 5. It also runs hot but this isn’t a big issue thanks to its sturdy plastic handle.

The MetroVac DataVac® Electric Duster® is a compact yet unbelievably powerful computer and equipment duster. You can read more about the environmental impact of compressed air cans here. What are the Specifications of the DataVac ESD? Complete with Air-Pin Pointer, Air Concentrator Nozzle, Air-Flare Nozzle and 4-Piece Detailing Tool Kit.This duster comes with three different nozzles as well as some brushes for putting on the finishing touches. The most useful nozzle for dusting is the one with the most narrow opening. They are thin enough that you can blow crumbs out of chiclet-style keys that you would find on wireless mini keyboards. The wider nozzles are better suited for drying off wet items or clearing out pipes. First impressions of the DataVac ESD were excellent. The duster feels extremely well built with a nice and strong metal construction. The handle has a good feel to it and is comfortable, and the rest of the accessories/attachments feel good quality as well. While the price is quite high, you definitely get the impression that the DataVac will last a long time given its fantastic build quality. Operating the DataVac ED-500-ESD Electric Duster
